My 3844a has been one of the best I've seen for voltage and high clocks. Will do 3.6 @ 1.075v, 3.8 @ 1.145v. Temperatures are hard to keep under control though.

You should be okay with temps and air cooling up to about 3.8GHz. You should not need more than 1.3V for 3.8GHz even if you have a bad chip. Try using 200MHz BCLK and 19x multiplier.

can you pm me setting for a 3.8ghz oc..
right now all i can get is 3.5 ghz that is stable.. for some strange reason..

I am so lost. I've tried so many settings to get this stable at 4.2 and when I think I finally have it, 1 hour of Prime 95 gives me BSOD.

I'm a little scared of trying custom voltage, but have been up to 1.35 and still no go. I am using a multiplier of 21x200... Anyone can help out?

Use Q-Flash. Download the BIOS file (only bios file .f5) and put it on a USB flash drive. Then, during the POST screen, press END and follow the instructions. I just flashed to version F5 today.

Well, I think I managed to get the system stable at 4.0 GHz after OC'ing for nearly 5 hours. Here it is:

    Frequency.............................4.0 GHz
    Clock Ratio............................20x
    Bus Speed.............................200 MHz
    vCore...................................1.344v idle | 1.328 v load --- 1.38125 in BIOS
    QPI/VTT voltage.....................1.32v
    DRAM...................................1.58
    Uncore Frequency...................3200 MHz
    QPI Link................................x36 (7.4 GHz)
    Performance Enhancement.......Standard
    Memory Multiplier...................8x
    Memory Speed.......................1600 MHz

I realized that the vcore voltage was the biggest limited factor. Haven't tried to lower the DRAM/QPI voltages yet.

Questions: Do you guys think that my vCore voltages (1.344 idle/1.328 load) are safe to be running at 24/7? On 100% load, the temps hit 80*C and they are 44-46*C at idle.

Should I drop it down to 3.8 GHz where I had vCore at 1.216v idle / 1.20 load? Temps were about 5*C cooler...

Thanks for the input / suggestions.

    Hello Everyone,

I can't seem to keep my PC Stable at 4.1-4.2. I keep trying but keep running into this wall...

    My settings are:
    CPU Ratio - 21
    BCLK - 200
    PCIE - 108
    DRAM - DDR4-1603
    UCLK - 3208
    QPI - 7218 MT/s

    CPU Voltage - 1.46250
    QPI/DRAM Core Voltage - 1.35
    DRAM Bus - 1.64
    HT-Off
Everything else is AUTO. Not sure what my batch number is, but I bought it January.

I also tried 19x219 and still get BSOD. I am stuck on this ring and cant seem to get out of it. :-/

Check your PM again and definitely drop that PCIE OC. You should never OC your PCIE bus. Maybe by 1MHz or 2MHz if you really want, but generally no OCing of PCIE is recommended. I gave you a bunch more things to try in the PM.

You are okay with temps in the low 80Cs for 24/7.

I was a bit worried that I originally put too much thermal paste. I applied a layer to the entire cpu and spread another layer onto the bottom of my Thermalright Ultra-120. Did I overdo it? Could this be why my idle temps are about 43-45*C and not in the high 30's?

That seems like a lot of paste. Just a dot in the center and then let the weight of the Heatsink spread it out. Good luck OC'ing!

Also you could lap your True 120 and run a second fan (if you don't already).http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/lapping/

Thermalright's instructions said a layer on both so I just followed those...

Would you recommend that I redo it or leave it as is?

Have you download the last Bios for the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 -> 0302 !! i run now at 3.930Ghz (19x207) with 1.25625Vcore in Bios.
3.8Ghz has enough with 1.1875V thanks to the new Bios 0302 .With the first one 0102 the cpu needed alot more vcore to reach these speeds!
    -Core i9 7980XE @4,20Ghz Vcore:1,10V
    -Asrock X299 Taichi XE
    -Custom water-cooling loop
    -16Gb Corsair DDR4 3200Mhz
    -Samsung 970 evo Plus 500Gb
    -Samsung 960 evo 250Gb
    -Samsung 850 evo 500Gb
    -Samsung SH-S223Q
    -Asus RTX 2080 Dual OC
    -Cooler Master HAF 932
    -Seasonic Prime 1300W Gold

Test results are always welcome with this Chess Test where all your cores/threads will run @100% ,Thanks

Got a new problem with LinX, actually I donīt know how to use it, I just used all my memory 12gb and then started the app, however, it turned out blue screens so far.

    First:
Driver IRQL not less or equal

Second, after raising the DRAM Voltage to 1,7:
    system service error

    Those are my basic settings:

    Where should I start tweaking?

Add some vcore maybe? Isnt 1.23v a little low for 4Ghz HT on?
