    X3 720 BE has Identity crysis, cracks 5gig 4 cores on DI

    specs
    M4a79 deluxe
    x3720BE
    2x4850's
    OCZ golds budget ram 1066
    Homemade DI pot

    No real goals just playing,chasing a few HWbot points, made some backups i'm not posting

    Cpu-z 1.50 just sucks, no other word for it, makes my life alot harder

    First place run for now, won't last long I needed a lot of cpu power to top the first place result with ddrIII


    These will probably be long time standing unless I can get the hwbot to amend the rules for 720's, theres back ups as well

    Seems you got a fully working Quad-core with a core disabled gz

    Did you use Dryice for this? Ln2 should gain you quite a few more megahurtz :P

    Nah the chip has "issues" only way it will work is if you set volts way up and enable acc at the same time, enabling acc refuses to post.....I preety much had to screw around the whole time for every single bench, no one setting does all type deal.

    Still benching now in x3 mode, dry ice needs to run out, been at this since 5pm....3:41am now......

    honestly it sucks, voltage is all over the place very inconsistent board, needs volt modding for any real serious benching.
    Ram clocking is decent though and no coldboot issues.

    Next weekend bartx, this pot needs more tuning, as you can see under load temps aren't that great. Hopefuly my revision 3 will address this DI pots shortcomings.

    I was unable to get ACC to unlock the 4th core on my X3 720BE when using the ASUS M4A79T Deluxe (DDR3), I have not tried the M4A79 Deluxe (DDR2) I assumed the ASUS boards did not have the X3 Flaw Exploit.

    What did you do to unlock the 4th core?


    Congratz, those are some crazy clocks for an unlocked X3 on DI!

    Needs a modded bios v2 v3, btw I made a post at tom's supporting your post...imho wprime with 4cores/threads is lame.

    I however am not going to stand by and let some guy smoke me on air at 1000mhz less clock when i'm on DI....I will delete the results if HWbot comes to a solution, its already been brought to there attention.

    PM me for bios for the ddr III board. I will warn you its preety buggy.

    Yah i know what the consencus is, the admins are discussing it in private now from what i hear. My result was only a retalliation to someone elses.

    If you can convince your team mate to delete his 4core/thread wprime scores I will delete mine....
