    i really wonder why people buy Ci7 and then diable HT... thats the main reason i bought Ci7... more threads to do more works... I could get out more Mhz cheaper from C2D Quad and better FPS in games (which most of the guys here do) the with Ci7.

    I had a Pentium 4 computer, so its like a really really big upgrade!
    I had to choose going Quad Core or Core i7(Latest Tech) ? So why not

    Money, plain and simple. You can get similar/better performance with a C2D for less money then with a Ci7, especial when your NOT using HT.

    For games maybe, but not video editing. Ci7 is far superior when video editing/encoding - especially on HD content. its not ALWAYS about FPS
