well ive been playing with my Q9650. its batch is L844B801 and VID is 1.2375v and i cant seem for the life of me to get it stable at 4ghz (445x9). ive tried all the way up to 1.3825v on the cpu and + 0.2v on the fsb. i have the GTL's on Auto and havent touched any of the clock skews on my X38DQ6. any suggestions guys?

this is as high as i can get my 9650 run.not 100% stable but i dont want to prime it too long with vcore so high1.44 in bios.i can boot into windows and prime for about 2 1/2 minute at 9x500 4500 ddr1250 but it needs 1.46 vcore in bios.im going to sell this chip and try my luck at getting a low vid one so i can feel comfortable running 9x500 4500 with hopefully less than 1.39vcore.

    heres the everest 9x500 ddr1250

here is my 24/7 set up,with voltages im more comfortable with.and it performs almost the same

A guy on ebay has Q9650's for $289.99 free shipping. but they are all L842, or L844's. and I'm trying to decide if I want to snag a second one.. but Il ike my L826 that I have.

Can you guys post what batch #'s you have, what the VID's are and your clocks? I'm trying to decide what to do. maybe we need to start a official Batch # / VID thread for the Q9650's.
I just got mine 2 days ago from the guy you mentioned on ebay.

Have one stuck sensor, reads 41c idle but under load it is in line with the other cores. Not a big deal really.

Same here I have 1 stuck sensor, it reads about 10c higher on idle than the other 3 cores
Under load the temps are all in line and read within 1-3 from each other

Same here, hundreds of VID's posted and I have never seen one over 1.25. If one existed I am sure I would have it, I have the worst luck with VID's. I have had 2 chips both 1.25VID

    q9650

Got everything installed on the new board today. It seems more stable, may be the new PSU though not sure. At 4.0ghz-445x9 temps are good with the Ultra 120 Extreme, even with an old single Antec fan. Ordered a couple Scythe fans, should be in today. Need to get my vcore down. Did a quick prime blend run just to check temps. Very pleased with the cooler.

Finally got my UD3P and booy what a difference! This board rocks hard, I booted up at 478x9 with ease, my goal is 4.4ghz and it looks like I have a good shot at it. I'm running 1.33v @ 4.3ghz right now but it's not quite stable in IBT but I think a tad more vtt voltage will do it. I'll post some SS when I get it all sorted out, btw my X38-T2R wouldn't even post at this speed with a quad!

I don't really think that is a problem look at his load temps, vid 1,25 are cool, my vid 1,1875 can't even prime smallfft at 1,36vcore as i have 26 - 28C ambient and im on water lol, but clocks awesome

yesterday i started to look for lowest values on all, my room temp was 24,5C fresh than the rest of the days that where 27C and more...

this was my third run lowering just vcore, i think it's doing well, on the MF2 going for blend was a nightmare, with the UD3P seems piece of cake, i used the gskills on 1200 PL8 standard and 2,1vdimm on bios / MCH 1,4

Sergio, if you looking for the lowest volts maybe this will help you out. These are my 24/7 settings, 10+ hours blend stable, and are just about as low as they go for me.

Not scary at all considering his temps his processor will last more then many out there. He has a higher VID cpu that's all. 1.41vcore for a 45nm is nothing.

Great job radaja stability is the key

On the EO chips is 1.45v max? Dont know if my q9650 is a dud but having a hard time getting it stable. Did a quick run yesterday at 445x9 1.33125v which seems high but passed one hour. Tried different settings with poor results so put settings back, now it fails in 18 minutes. 18 minutes seems to be where if fails at any OC I try which is during small fft I believe. About ready to put the 9550 back in, it has the same vid as this chip but was easy to get stable. Got this q9650 in hopes of getting 4.25ghz stable for 24/7 use. Not going happen that i can see. What would be safe maximum voltages for VTT, MCH?

Yours may need a little more vcore but it should give you an idea on what you can probably use on mch and vtt.
