the real7,hey try this for 450x9.set vcore to 1.381 in bios leave special add on auto.if it boots and you can run prime95 for at least 15 minutes then try lowering vcore.if it just primes for a few min, then try adjusting the gtl's one at a time and write down how much longer it primes until you find what your board and cpu like.this is just a starting point.let me know how it goes
    CPU VID Control........................... - 1.381
CPU VID Special Add....................... - Auto
    DRAM Voltage Control...................... - 2.07V
    SB 1.05V Voltage.......................... - 1.15V
    SB Core/CPU PLL Voltage................... - 1.55V
    NB Core Voltage........................... - 1.57V
    CPU VTT Voltage........................... - 1.36V
Vcore Droop Control....................... - Enabled-keep this enabled
    Clockgen Voltage Control.................. - 3.45V
    GTL+ Buffers Strenght..................... - Strong
    Host Slew Rate............................ - Weak
GTL REF Voltage Control................... - Enabled
    CPU GTL 1/3 REF Volt..................... - 110
    CPU GTL 0/2 REF Volt..................... - 112
North Bridge GTL REF Volt................. - 108
also make sure you cool your nb with a fan to keep the temps down.

thanks for the bios settings at i4memory.
    you're welcome
anyway to push high fsb i'd give 1.75 pll and 1.40 vtt
just a try, dunno if could work, but voltages are not risky
goodbye my dear ut p35, i'll love you forever

Well it's been around >1yr since I packed away my DFI UT P35-T2R. But now I have dusted it off, flashed to 09/19/08 bios and plucked in my first of five E8600 Q820A599 cpus with 0537 serial number. Too lazy to do fresh WinXP install, so grabbed my DFI DK X48-T2RSB Plus WinXP install SATA drive and just used that

Haven't tried 32M stability, but started off with max FSB testing for 1M and cpuz validation. Ended up around 585FSB easy 1M, 590FSB finished but BSOD before I could save screenshot and 606FSB was best I could do for validation.

Using DFI MegaHalem air heatsink with 120x25mm Thermaltake 81cfm fan and Corsair AIRFLOW assisted PWM cooling

    System
    • Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 Q820A599 0537
    • DFI MegaHalem Heatsink + 120x25mm Thermaltake 81cfm fan
    • DFI LP UT P35-T2R 9/19/08 bios

So nice to see this old board still getting attention, and with the price drops on it (in the US at least) it's a great buy. I just wish I could get it stable@500x8 5:6 PL7 on my 24/7 box

Ok im not a noob but noob to my board with a Q6600 in it. I have overclocked my E7200@3.8ghz prime, occt, and orthos stable. I am totally lost with this quad. I want to take it to 3.6ghz or higher if possible. I will be cooling with the tuniq tower.

Any help would be aprreciated. I just looking for maybe some voltage or bios setting just to get me started. Whether or not too enable Vdroop or the what other cpu options in bios to enable.

I think this is my last post to this thread. I'm losing my nerves and thinking to throw entire rig out of the window. Did a fresh install on 64bit Vista Ultimate and still I am unstable with 1:1 divider. With 2:3 divider my memory can run memtest as long as I can wait. With 500fsb and 1:1 divider only couple % and I see errors. Here is my bios template. I'd be forever thankful if someone could find a solution for my problem.

I have tried as high as 1.65V for NB and it only slightly makes it more stable. Im out of ideas, but as this problem has been with me quite long and I've had time to think it. Could it be the NB as the memory controller is there and it doesn't want to run my memory with 1:1 divider and with 2:3 it works great. Should I change mobo to something else because my goal was to get my E8200 @ 4ghz 24/7 and with this board I cant do it. ANY ADVICE AND HELPING WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! I HAVE FAITH IN YOU PROS!!!!

yep at 540fsb for me i could use pl7 with e/a/e/e/e and e/a/a/e/e but one i went to 542 i had trouble with stability but once i went to pl8 with the same pull ins it was better

vtt volts not risky but pll volts above 1.7v is

lucas dont be scared to go 500x7 you should be able to do it under 1.45v
    i got my e6400 to 3.9 easy

Some E6300s won't hit 500FSB, I know mine won't no matter what board I slap it in. 490 is about its wall.

I did some changes to my template, suggested on DFI forums. Still im not able to get this stable.... Why is it with 2:3 divider Performance level 5 on auto and with 1:1 it is 9 on auto? Also memset shows difference in tREF with 2:3 it is 3120 and with 1:1 it is 2500. Thanks!
