Does this board gets 450 FSB? or iam going to hit the wall.
iam thinking of getting my CPU 8x450 QX6700 (runs 100% on my current setup)
Will have to get new memory though. Any suggestions are welcome.
I have the Q9650 at 450 Bus. I can't say it'll do it with the QX6700, not sure I've seen anyone running that combo.

    High volatage

Wow Trigger it takes that much cpu voltage to run at 4.0 ghz ? seems high.

    can be done

Neo Rtr, Can be done, i dont have a quad, but im sure you can do it, but will definitly take some work to get there, have to play with voltages, gtls.

I would get some crucial ballistic ddr3 1600mgz or crucial ballistic 2000mgz kit, im running the 2000 kit, great stuff. Getting your quad to where you want it will be easier with 2gigs of ram, more hard with 4 gigs of ram.

1.36 bios with LLC disabled this board overvolts like mad.

For me 1202 bios LLC enabled bios set 1.34375vcore = 1.39v CPUz or Everest Ultimate CPUID or CoreTemp

Have you tried 7-7-7-20 2t timings with 2x2 seems to me if your kit is the PVS34G2000LLKN rated to run PC3-16000 (2000MHz) 9-9-9-24 @ 2.0V then it should be no problem. If it doesn't they may need rma'd too.

Did you ever post all your bios settings if not grab my template a few post back and add your settings to it.

Ok this is wierd. My pc is more or less stable now, need to iron out some issues with ram. Never had a problem all day yesterday.

I started it from cold this morning and POST froze on USB INIT. Any ideas why?

OK, found out that this USB INIT freze during POST is due to me setting fsb and ram to linked and synced. If I set to unlinked and both 1600 it is ok. Any ideas?

I'm using BIOS 1202. It is what it is, could also be the board reporting it incorrectly.

Found out my ram needed more voltage, I got POST freezes at USB INIT and MSCONFIG when cold booting.

EDIT - nvm, I'm just going to stay at 3ghz with ram linked and synced. It's happy and stable. Just spent 3 months trying to get it stable at any setting without success.

I've been told that the L807A batch that I've got, coupled with this board is hopeless. I've been told that if I want more, go 45nm.

My hard drive errors and BIOS freezes only happens when overclocking. It's sweet now at stock settings, so something is disagreeing with something.

Ok so is your cpu then. Try giving your cpu more voltage, and run again and see what happens, if still fails, then your probally need to play with cpu gtl voltages. Up your vtt to 1.32 in bios, and nbv to 1.50 in bios, see if passes.

even though the cpu can pass in small fft and not in blend i would surgest its not the cpu .Could be i need to set memory values rather than leave them in auto @ the moment i got it set @ 7-7-7-20 2t and rest in auto.Im using bios 1202
