In the past few weeks I have seen a LOT of FUD regarding the Vertex drives. I am forced to wonder how much of it is just from people who have already spent nearly double the price on Intel drives and are just trying to justify their purchase.
Seriously, I have not seen so many people so virulent about a new piece of technology. Especially one that seems to be good on all accounts... Sure, in individual ways HDDs are still faster, and the Intel can do some other things better... but is there really a reason for such rancor directed at OCZ for wanting to even try competing with the Intel at nearly half the cost ? I say bravo to them for not trying to gouge their audience's wallets, like Intel seems bent on doing.
