Intel and Apple are sure-shot long term partners due to Intel's stable supply of chips and Intel's products being more powerful and more efficient then AMD's current offerings, albiet at a higher cost.

However, all AMD needs to do is to do a better job of innovating to catch Apple's attention. Hell need not be frozen over for Apple to use an AMD chip. That, and the fact that Apple doesn't give a hoot how much it charges its customers, they'll still wait in lines to get it, is also another factor Intel and Apple are meant to be together.
