still, you expect to gain 150ghz with .06v increase in voltages which quite impossible. Perhaps, you should try 4200.

    Hey Viper thanks!

Yes I did get the CryoZ mount and did fit it already all I need know is some spare time

I was setting up a 4500MhzQ9650+UD3P system for a friend this week. I told him I'll eat my cpu if I didn't get his Quad stable at those speed so he could ditch the Asus MF2.

Are the UD3P boards better overclockers than the UD3R?

UD3P & UD3R performance is the same, but if you have Daul ati graphics
then UD3P could run crossfirex, also P version has Ultra-TMP function

Suggestions for getting beyond 4.0 GHz with my Q9650?

I am new to the UDP3 board, after 2.5 years with an Asus P5W DH Deluxe.

I quickly got my Q9650 up to 4.0 GHz (445 * 9). It ran Prime blend for 20 hours with no problems.

Any attempts to go beyond that result in BSODs at the worst, Prime95 errors at the best.

Can anybody suggest what I should change first? This is air cooled.

    Thanks.

PS My memory is Patriot PC2-6400/800MHz rated at 4-4-4-12; I have the timings manually set to 5-5-5-15 for 890MHz.

CPU Ref is too highfor starters, skew must be 1000/1000/0/50 and Dram Term and Refs are all off too just use AUTO for DRAM Terms and Ref for starters and lower your CPU Ref.

Hi, you asked me what revision my board is, it's 1.1.

Do you have any ideas for me since we're running same cpu? My other posts have stuff I've tried.

And I totally agree, way too much stuff to adjust on this board. I would like to get either 442x9.5 or 467x9.

Best I can do prime stable is 450x9 ram at 1080.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks

What volts are you using? I tried 1.4 vcore but the vdroop drops it to 1.36 or there aboutsm tried 1.42 and vdroop is better, but prime crashes faster.

What mem volts? Are you running 333 or 400 at 1061 and 2.0b or......??

    Thanks for any info

Hey guys i am making a budget PC for a buddy. Before i went i7 i worked with 3 ud3p and i freaking loved em.

so for my friend i am thinking about UD3L / E7400. What is a decent oc i could attain with that. Also whats a good cheap 4gb kit that u guys would recommend for oc on ud3L with 7400.

    thanks buds.

I agree, on my P5Q Dlx board all I did was change vcore, turn off all the usual speedstep, c1e etc. and and unlatch ram....and something else can't remember...probably ram volts, and wham 4.2Ghz prime stable....totally stable.

You must of had a golden p5b deluxe I would think,

If you think this has alot of options stay away from a dfi board.

Anyways I took my E3110 to 600fsb bottable, and 630 would run memtest for a while. All I did was change the vcore, vmch, vddr and turn off c1e and such. The other voltages you can play with to make it stable.

Personally I really like this board so far. Very easy to oc and has enough options to tweak it to pull those extra mhz.

Now i`m running 2x2gb Mushkin 996599 but i don`t understand how the whole thing becomes unstable just with increase 5 notches in FSB, and how hard it is to make it stable again...

I've got mine to 3.8GHz, vcore @1.4 to do it. I'm gonna try to hit 4.0 just to see if I can, but I'm gonna run 3.6 for my 24/7 setting. My combination does it easy.
