I'm almost happy - back to 21x190 with F6a although at higher qpi/vtt and Vcore voltages than F5g. 20x200 booted but wasn't stable.
Now, the only thing I need to figure out is why my 3x2Gb OCZ Gold memory will not run at 8x190. 6x multiplier and auto sets the voltage at 1.5 and timings at 8,8,8,22. It's supposed to be 8,8,8,24 1.65V at 1600MHz. I tried to set the voltages and timings manually but it doesn't want to know the 8x multiplier.
Anyone got any ideas to help me please?

what is your uncore multi set on - needs to be at least 2x your memory multi, preferably 2x plus 1 click up - so - 17? and then at 17 or 16 if you must - uncore must be below approx 4000 or it will not boot.

Both QPI and Uncore were Auto. QPI actually 36 but Uncore was 3800 = 20x. Maybe this is the problem - I'll try it and see

technut36 I Tried X16 and X17 also timings a 8,8,8,24 and 9,9,9,27 - no combination worked Any other ideas? I know I shoul dbe happy with the overclock I have got but it annoys me that my memory is running under it's rated speed

Oh and I haven't been called 'young' for many years

2gb modules have been a problem for some folks when ocing.
You may need gobs of v.
For example my pi 2k memory - when I turn on xmp - it sets the qpi v to 1.555v!!!

Barring adding lots of voltage, send a complete list of your settings, v's, multi's, bclock, ... and lets see if anything looks unusual.

    Ok Here goes

    F6a
    20x190 Turbo enabled
    QPI x36 = 6.84GHz
    Uncore Auto = 3800MHz
    Isochronous support enabled
    performance enhance STD
    Multiplier 6 = 1140MHz
DRAM timing Auto - this shows 7,7,7,20,1T in BIOS
    CPU-Z shows FSB : DRAM 2:6 8,8,8,22,1T
    LLC Disabled
    VCore - 1.425
    QPI 1.395
    IOH 1.100 AUTO
    DRAM 1.5v AUTO
    QPI Pll 1.14v
    Dram termination 0.75v AUTO
    CH A,B,C Data V Ref 0.75v AUTO
Ch A,B,C Address ref 0.75v AUTO

Tried to manually set Dram Volts to 1.64 and timings to 8,8,8,24 which is where the memory (OCZ Gold 1600MHz) was rated for 1600MHz operation, left everything else the same. This didn't work so tried Uncore at 17x and 16x as you suggested, neither worked
