I say congrats to those vid cards!! Lordy those are some high scores!! But the AMD @6100+ comes no where near the Intel at 1000mhz less
Look at the highest cpu score on 06 that the AMD puts up. It is impressive but it gets whacked by the Intel rigs. So I am blown aay by the video cards
If you guys can find away to push the cpu score up to match the Intel scores then you will have something. And vice-versa if the Intel guys can get
their cards to match yours then they will have something.

Come on WeldZilla, don't turn this into an Intel against AMD fight please. In the end, if Intel was really that superior, why is AMD holding the crown then?

Awesome work guys, your determination is admirable! I guess today you'll give it another go at the live event?

I hope you can get everything running full throttle at the same time, are you guys gonna do Liquid Helium too at the live event?

Keep pushing the system! 36K is just around the corner.

Weldzilla, like Zeus said: Why is it that AMD holds the record then?? Isnt it interesting that overall performance AMD wins, even when intel has highest cpu score??

    Great job guys, your rocking.

    guys, think about it

the i7 with HT on scores much higher in CPU score because of the HT, but the overall higher clock of the Phenom II unlocks the video cards better. I would say. if the i7 with HT on overclocked to 6.1 GHz then its game over. But so far its not happening and thats why the Phenom II holds the crown.

i7 with HT off and 6.1 GHz if possible would be an interesting match up for the Phenom II, however thats not possible to compare yet.

OK. I will say this one more time (must be number 105589768 or something )

3DMark06 is so heavily CPU limited test, that overclocking VGA's have almost zero impact on the final score.

Like we can clearly see, we could run our CPU at the same speed as before, but we gained 100 points.

So going from 830MHz on all 4 GPU's to 900MHz we got 100 points. Do you believe me now

I don't know do we cool our GPU's in the future.. there is really no idea on that. We would just make our benching more difficult
You are as good as your samples are!

LN2 on ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 CrossFireX is just for squeezing the last ~200 points out from the system in 06. CPU has much bigger impact. With good run 36k would have been possible yesterday, but new WR in front of live audience was also ok result :P

36K or not you guys did a great job once again. It's just that i didn't really feel it was appropriate getting Intel involved in an AMD WR thread.

No need to tell anyone how cpu bound 06 is i think, the extra points gained by putting LNē on the graphics cards is a nice added bonus.

So, any more bech sessions ahead?

Don't be so sensitive!!! Geesh, I was just amazed by the damn gpu output. I'd love to see AMD get right up neck and neck
with Intel on everything again. The industry needs this and so do we. It is that mad competition that brought us
Phenoms and Core I7. So to the team who set this great mark I say congratulations!!! and to the teams chasing them I say
    Sick'em.

Thank you everyone! This thread is starting to go down now, cause Team Finland decided to take a little break.

We will be back and we will be even stronger then! Stay tuned!

    Nice.

Waking up in the morning, thinking, hmmm, lets go out and break the 3DMark06 record again, just for kicks.

Still, a bit embarassing to go to a Lan Party and spend the whole time overclocking? FINLAND IS HARDCORE.

Congratulations. And have I mentioned how well I sleep at night since you broke the 06' record the first time? I haven't slept this well since Conroe launched...

I have been working too much and have been deprived so as a reward to myself I turned on STEAM, bought Unreal Tournament 3, and got killed a lot.

i'm sure we'll probably end up running core i7 CPUs and uncore at 2v and RAM at 3v heheheh ... pooring LN2 straight on the board and RAM for sure hahahah. if my CPU NB doesnt crack 5GHz i'll be unimpressed heheh

Haven't followed what's been going on for a little while - wow - you guys did it again! Very impressive what you guys accomplished here!!! To bad I wasn't able to watch and enjoy the game i person this time! Hopefully I get to watch you guys play in Hannover again.

Also big congrats AMD for pushing the envelope and showing you care about the community and the sport! Now send some helium down to Finnland and let's see how far this gem can really go!
