That last screenshot isn't for a q9650, or any other quad core. WTF?

Let's see the quad core at that speed! Godspeed!

"TheGanG" what vCore are you setting in BIOS? CPUZ 1.76v is really high, are those subzero runs?

Yes subzero, it was a max mhz run and juiced high. Expecting 4.9+
VTT, NB and PLL was as low as possible (via GTL Refs/PL)

Good to know. The reason I ask is because I was running -5C ambient last night 4500Mhz @ 1.44v. I wanted to gauge how much more I have to up the vCore to get 4800Mhz - 5000Mhz. I hope I don't need that much but we will see. I see alot of people using LLC but I do not use it and my droop is practically nothing with it off. 1.440v set in Bios 1.432v CPUZ Next everything is going in my A/C Chiller -30C

These settings are the max I have run at my highest achieved FSB

    4500Mhz @ 1.44v
    vTT 1.40v
    GTL 0.68/0.69v
    PLL 1.58v
    vDimm 2.00v
    Performance Level 7
    Clock Twister Stronger
    DDR3-1584 - 6-6-6-18-2T-60

What was your ambient/surface temps at that run?

Load was -38°C, idle about -58°C. Ambient doesn't play a role with my setup. Actually i don't need so high VCore...

PL:8 may be good for you. I believe u hit 4.7-4.8 GHz if u have a good CPU I haven't a good one...

Maybe this will help, for 4.8-4.9 I use about 1.48 volts on air, S1283.

Yeah good job friend, i haven't a good chip so it wants fire.
Another reason is DFi LP DK P45-T2RS PLUS (with rev. A2 chipset), big headache with Quads

Heres my 3DMARK06 score. I'm not much of a 3D bencher, don't know why my CPU score is so low and not sure how my GTX 285 i scoring slower than your GTX 280. I also ran 3DMARK05 and a 32M run.

Not all benchmarks are about the tightest timings or highest clocks. Sometimes you need to find the best balance... also everest bandwith results don't necessarily reflect best performance : eg on my EP45T for Superpi 1mb it runs faster with PL 9 then 8... also C8 on my board is borked as C9 is faster at the same FSB/ram speeds... while the everest bandwith tests tell otherwise...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Well I am on XP SP3 not Vista and my GTX 280 clock for that 3DM06 run was 795/1280/1660 on its own water loop.

Finding the minimum voltage for stock speeds...

That's 1.008v on cpu and 39C degrees max done more than 3 hours stable so far...

I realized you were on XP after my reply. I will do some more testing this week to see if different timings, PL, speeds give better results than others in 3DMARK06.

Nice clocks on the GTX 280 by the way. Highest I got on my GTX 285 is 770/1370 core @ 7C idle.

Thanks Deachus. I thought you would like that new chip, looks like you are right near me in clock speed. XP is usually good for about 500-1200 more points on average then Vista though recently I have seen exceptions where it was much less. PL can be a major influence on the CPU score in 06, that score I posted was at PL10 and if I had ran it at 7 my CPU score would have been right around 7600 at that speed. Your score is very good and will only get better I am sure. My GTX280 so far can do 816/1300/1674 with zero bleeding but I have some serious cooling which certainly helps big time.

    Thx.
I still have that E8200 running in a rig at 4100, 1.248V for 1 year now (bought it 02/22/08).

I swapped my P5Q Deluxe for the DK P45 Plus (for some reason, I love DFI boards), although I must say that this one was a little picky at the beginning.
Couldn't bot above 455FSB with my Quad, resulting in continuous reboots.
Removing my memory and booting with 1 stick, at 460/465/470/475/480 resolved it.
Placed the second stick back in and it worked again. Weird board, but typical DFI I guess.

I love DFI boards as well though they certainly are more moody then others but yield great results with patience. Nice chip Jupiler, I am currently running a P5Q Deluxe with this 9650 which is doing good but I just might jump over to DFI again.
