    Thanks bro...

Have seen your score and mobo, so EP45 UD3P will be a good choice

Still cant get this UD3R to post at anything other than optimized defaults setting.

I thought it was the fact that I was only using a 4 pin atx power connector so I got myself an 8 pin, exact same problem, no difference whatsoever. Board was brand new when I got it, flashed to F6 bios and have tried extremely mild overclocks, nothing is working at all.

If I disable all the crap in advanced bios like thermal monitor 2, eist function, and c1e, and then change cpu voltage to 1.25v and maybe bump ddr voltage and change settings to 10x300 which should be a piece of cake for an e5200, I just get a series of reboots until it resets the settings to default.

I feel like im missing some glaring setting that is preventing me from getting any OC done here. Otherwise this board is just completely bunk.

Well, what is the difference between rev 1.0 and rev 1.1? Haven't seen this information on CPU-Z...

Maybe it's the PSU. Changing the adapter doesn't necessarily mean you're getting better power to the board. What PSU are you using?

630 watt raidmax modular psu. all the lines look perfect under hardware monitor. I was running an Asus P5B with this psu and had a couple of processors that I tried that could get into windows (not stable) at 4ghz. And this board cant even post at anything but stock with the same psu? Just seems crazy.

No offense, but that PSU is utter garbage. Invest in a quality PSU. Even a Corsair 450 would be leaps and bounds better than that. I'm using one to power my UD3R and it's fantastic.

    What are the stated differences?

I just put the e5200 back in my P5B and am installing windows no prob @ 1066mhz mem and 3.67ghz with 1.375v.

I was hoping I could pull more out of this chip and I think I could with the right board. Im reluctant to swap boards AGAIN just to flash the bios and find out its the same story.

    I don't think your P5B can do DDR2-1800,like UD3R

Talking Q9650 4500Mhz in water stable under 1.37vcore is now possible!

After a week of fun in the Extreme, now it's time to apply some gained skills on the UD3P

What I thought it was impossible is so far holding strong on my UD3P. This board and cpu just keep going and going! The hard part is to use the least amount of volts for the cpu and highest mem strap and timings possible.

Noticed I changed voltages from Team Xtreem to G.Skills a bit but that was only because of larger RAM used for testing.

All this in cheap water cooling system.

I try to send as many pics of the entire testing process (beginning/middle/ end) because I noticed many fake SS's around the web of people adjusting voltages and/or cutting blend tests as customs trying to deceive people here...

    [IBT&HCI Memtes: EP45-UD3P + Q9650@4500Mhz + 2Gb_DDR2@1334Mhz PL7]

    Beginning:

    Middle:

    End + 100% HCI Memtest:

    [Prime95 Blend: EP45-UD3P + Q9650@4500Mhz + 4Gb_DDR2@1250Mhz PL8]

    ...
I will post more results and templates during the next week, this was very very very hard to achieve and needed some voodoo magic to work!

Now lets move on to get closer to 5000Mhz stable

Are you running in dual channel? Try taking one out and seeing if you can OC with a single stick of ram.

I can't get my board to post in dual channel at all!!!!

Hey Coop yeah thanks the only difference is you have a Dual Core and I'm on a Quad Core, they are kinda different when it comes to benching and stability. Quad cores are very tough to get stable above 4500Mhz.

I can appreciate that. With only 2 cores I find myself on the quest again for 8hrs. Getting closer though. Like I said, 7.54 on Tue. and last night 7.57. Never really was a fan of running P95 for so long but this time I have accepted the challenge. I did want to do it with 1.37xxv vcore though, but that was not to be. .....atm

    e8400 @ 4.5

Hey guys, found these forums when I was trying to figure out all this stuff, a billion thanks to Coop, Jor, and others for posting your temps, I was completely confused with all these crazy settings at first.

Here is my best so far, 9x500 with my e8400. Running prime now for over an hour and we'll see how long it lasts, but it should be about stable.

This look ok? I'm on air, but running a 120 eXtreme with a push/pull and a HR-05 SLI/fan on the NB.

Two things though, for some reason I have to set my mCH way high to get a decent FSB out of this board stable. I know I can do 4.4 on this chip (tested 7hr prime 484x9 @ 1.4v) but when I set it to 550x8 @ 1.4mCH I can't even boot into windows. Is one of my other settings wrong?

Also, any tips for getting faster timings/PL on the ram? I have the G. Skill 2x2 8500's, but can't seem to get them near PL8 like some of you have.

Oh yeah and I'm doing this on the new 8f BIOS out today.

Tsource, your mch volts are probably due to running 1:1. I found it less cooperative by alot, than 5:6. Same thing, I just wanted to use more ram. P/L may be related to that too. Looking good though 4.5 1:1. Damn. Good luck, some big numbers on blend around 7hr50+ min. at that speed.

Anybody know if the new UD3P beta 8f fixes resume from sleep yet? I wonder why its soo hard to fix. Sleep is awesome. My System really needs some sleep..... Do the UD3R's suffer from that bug as well? Thanks.

Ah, thanks man, I didn't know 1:1 made a difference as far as NB load goes. So what is the consensus on the RAM then, try and stick with 1:1 or get the highest FSB possible? i.e. stick with what I have or go DDR1200 with the 5:6 divider?
