I'm not attacking him but what he posted, which he didn't back up with any facts whatsoever, in a way he's been doing much in the past and as i pointed out he would even blame a product for his own mistakes. I have Intel, AMD, ATI and Nvidia in this room right now and honestly think they both make good and poor products at times.

I really hope all this insulting and attacking and underhanded crap stops....
If it doesn't, we may have no one left to post in News![]()
All he did was observe that OBR was once again being cantankerous.
Movieman has stated that Mods on this site don't just ban people for trivial reasons, I knew he was wrong from my own dealings with some of the Mods here and you have proven it now with Hornet.
A very poor effort on your part.

Because I would like the topic of this thread to return to constructive discussion of the upcoming HD4890 launch*, you have PMs
They're friendly, no worries, you're not in trouble or anything
* if there is no more quality discussion to be had, then the thread can fade away to the back pages just fine then![]()
Although that may have been a little blunt, that is what I am thinking.
Quite frankly, I drop my case, as you have finally given some reason. The quality of which I am not going to argue, as this is what turned this thread into a dump.
STOP.
This thread is not a place to express your, in this case, distaste of another member. If you have specific grievances, you take that up with a Mod in private, not in public.

We should be having Rv740 by now![]()
No one has been able to scale well once they get into the upper range.
The radeons 4xxx are already highly clocked. I would not expect a 20 percent increase in performance.
I can imagine if driver performance can be brought up, I can see 20% increase in April. But since this driver improvement is extendable to the 4870. It makes the 4890 a totally unneeded product. Especially since it sounds like it will be sold for 20 percent more money. I doubt these will come with 1gb of ddr5 ram at the predict price.
Off topic but..... putting signs like banana's where the letters are for a curse is still swearing(which is far more offensive than anything in OBR post) and far more snarky. If its directed at anyone, this is still a personal attack.

Xbit also thought that RV770 had 480SPs.

Digitimes thinks both RV740 and RV790 are 40nm parts... :
TSMC sees weak 40nm orders
Latest news
Monica Chen, Taipei; Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES [Wednesday 18 February 2009]
Despite the successful ramp of the 40nm node, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has secured fewer orders from AMD and Nvidia than originally expected, according to market sources.
Compared to initial orders placed by the two graphics chipmakers for every new process generation in the past, orders for the 40nm segment have been scaled down by 30-40%.
AMD and Nvidia have both adopted a cautious approach to upcoming 40nm graphics chips due to economic uncertainties.
AMD's 40nm mid-range RV740 and high-end RV790 GPUs will both be launched in April this year, while Nvidia will launch its first 40nm GPU, GT212 in the second quarter of 2009.
AMD and Nvidia both declined the opportunity to respond to this report saying they cannot comment on unannounced products.
