Looks like a chip over 4Ghz for 24/7 use may be possible. Can't wait to get one and put it under H20!

1.55v True is not here yet, cooler air. The only thing holding it back is heat and possibly a crude IHS, plan to lap it this week, Once lapped I will be allowed to take pics.

Is that the TRUE? If so grab a few panaflos or deltas get yourself a fan controller and push pull it. I still say its the best heatsink to date when you do the following, Lap cpu, Lap TRUE, Washer mod, push/pull with 1600rpm fans.

K10stat is your friend for multipliers.

Congratz Chew* on 4.41GHz+ AIR validation!!
You've beat me by 12MHz, but I was on True and 1.638V!
4.5GHz was only working for couple of seconds before restart
Your chip and True should do it easily

My retail chip refuses to boot over 1.6v on air even at stock or underclocked New board arrives tommorow, this chip has taxxed the limit of the GX board. Maybe my retail will do better on new board also.

if is not a to much hassle, please try it under TRUE before laping... just to see how much laping makes difference!

Alrighty thats if the true isn't already lapped. I'm getting it second hand it was a review sample. I'm preety sure the IHS is uneven it actually gouged my lapjob, took me a half hour to get it flat again.

reading this thread reminded me on some poisonous threads and post on this form year ago when many people were counting the days left for AMD... there was so many "predictions" about eminent doom of this American company, and noone in their wild dreams couldn't imagine that they're capable of such a technological break trough!

This gem that chew* has is a testament to all those bright brains in AMD that are giving their best pushing the progress forward.

also kudos to you guys for bringing the proof of their work to us!!

Great results, really good to see AMD being really competitive again, would be nice to build an AMD system.....
If these chips are coming out soon, then the build im hoping to do over the next couple of weeks looks like it could be AMD,

That is awesome. I'm always impressed with the amount of work/dedication you put into this stuff Chew.

I wonder how the 45nm process is going to be doing once RD890 hits cause that's going to be when I upgrade next.
