i haven't kept up with the chips since they were released anyone have a good phenom 940 comparison?

Best thing to do would be to scan my 790GX/940 thread, that way the comparison is on the same board, same ram and similar settings, I'm preety sure i ran 4 gig air tests.

I think this chip edges it out a little but in the upgrade deparment path its a win win, it works in am2+ and will work in "true" am3.
