I love to see macci back and benching @ Team Finland, we shoulda known, P2's like a E8600 clockable CPU with 2 more cores for that CPU score....
    Congrats!

So I was wrong about asking you not to keep a backup the other time I guess Gautum

C'mon, if your gonna go for 3D 06 world records is it not a good idea to atleast overclock the cards? You'll be doing Pi runs without tweaking the memory next

I'm not knocking you, I'd just like to see AMD beat the 06 record, not merely tickle it or pip it to the post by 100points. Everytime I see a great AMD result it's short lived. If it takes three of you, an endless dewar of LN2, a cherry-picked cpu and 6Ghz+ in lab conditions to JUST beat the old record

Why don't you just ramp those gpu's and put us all out of our misery

If we don't have to do it.. why should we bother ourselves

No..next runs will be on LN2. Cards were ready yesterday, but we just liked to see the backups

And we just tested one new chip yesterday, so...

Yes, step-by-step.. first we just needed Gautam to spill out their backup LN2 runs are coming very very soon with four GPUs and we have already done 06 CPU-tests @ +6,2 GHz with all four cores..

Great score there, atleast now we know our next target This all makes this hobby more fun and challenging. AMD and Intel are racing neck and neck in 06, who would have thought that couple of months ago?

Thanks now instead of M4A79T we need Crosshair II Extreme or something for Phenom II X4 xtreme-overclocking like R2E for Core i7

Will you guys be doing some more benching today to get the WR back?

Shame that both 05 and 06 WR were shortlived but you guys sure wrote history with that!

    Assembly Summer 2008

There will be a big LAN-party (Assembly Winter 2009) with couple of thousands visitors coming up next week (friday - sunday) in Finland. Not 100% sure yet about plans but we might try to break 06 WR there in front of live-audience during the event

We will try to break WR (again) first with LN2.. liquid helium is an ace in sleeve to raise the bar even higher in case unreleased Core i7-975 gets involved in action again

Is 945BE available now? As your point, i7 975 is nothing because it's the same stepping as retail after 3 months. Why does fugger accept some guys claim 05 WR with 975? S1366 Core i7 is already launched last year.

I don't know why you are bringing Fugger's & mikeguava's 05 result to this thread? I've congratulated them here.

    Core i7-965 EE Retail:
    Stepping C0/C1

    Core i7-"975":
    Stepping D0

    ---

    Phenom II X4 910 retail:
    Stepping 2, Revision RB-C2

    Phenom II X4 ES:
    Stepping 2, Revision RB-C2

launching doesn't mean any stepping. Retail also can has a lot of steppings, such as "Retail" QX9650 C0 and C1, E8400 C0 and E0.

Everyone claim about ES WR because they are NOT really available now. Not you said "launched". If i7 975 is the same stepping as retail, why it still got a lot of claim? "i7 is launched already" Isn't it?

lol...This is I first time heard "I I cannot have a lot nice cpus like Fugge and Team Finland". How many WRs I ever created? Did you see it before? Or you just are some guys' fans? I just claim about "unavailable cpus make WR" . The same as some guys complain about Intel and hand pick cpus.
