These QD's of Koolance are realy cool, especialy the threaded pieces.
To bad a single coupler costs about 10 euro's in europe. So, for the connection of one block, i would spend as much cash on the QD's as on the block it self.
Despite of the high prieces, I am thinking about using these in a chilled liquid loop as these QD's use a silicone O-ring making them suitable for sub-zero temps.
Its good to see the first dedicated QD's for computer cooling.![]()

Hey Kap, I use male and female Koolance QD's on both of my 24/7 DCing Q6600's for my external water cooling containers (the containers sit on my window sill). Both the male and female QD's I got came with threads to go through my cases. (one case Antec 900 and the other an older Antec)
I noticed if I used the QD's that I had from a Nautilus 500 it caused my MCP350 to whine (restrictions), but with the Koolance QD's things were quiet. (no noticeable whine)

These pics were taken many moons ago. The boxen on the left has the Nautilus 500 QD's that seemed to cause the MCP350 to whine (since replaced with more Koolance QD's) and on the right are the bulkhead Koolance QD's. If you can see the Koolance QD's have threads and I've since made a plate for the pressure line to pass through the 120mm exhaust fan hole and a washer for the return in the lower line from a MCW60-R WB on a eVGA 8800GS VGA card![]()
I know the pics ain't too clear, but if you really scwint your eyeballs you can see the threads for bulkhead fitting. I hope it kinda' helps

I was looking at those Koolance QD's when I was putting my new stuff together a couple weeks back. I had read a lot of posts around here stating that QD's were such flow killers, they weren't worth using. So I ordered these instead. They provide almost the same functionality as the QD's, with the drawback of them putting kinks or weak spots in your line. What I've been doing is using them to stop the flow, then sticking a stopper in the end of the tube so I could release the clamp quickly, hoping to reduce the crimping damage. So far, they've worked great. Kinda pricey, though.
I'll definitely be getting the vl4's as time and budget allow.
