Regarding the batches from Micro Center, since they have one of the lowest list price for the 920s, so it seems like 3841A431 or possibly 3841A383
are to be expected?
That is unless you know someone there who can hand pick the retail box or somehow you luck out.
I am not sure what else they have in stock batch wise as I really did not know anything about the batch numbers when I bought the chip. Actually I knew nothing about overclocking except that the sales person, who was excellent, told me that people were having great success oc'ing this chip. I would run over to the store and check but it is about 40 minutes away. If I go back for any reason I will take a look and report back. Based on what I have read and my own experiences the 3841 seems to be a good bunch. As you said Microcenter has one of the best prices and the day I went to think about building a machine they had a specific sale for people building computers, so I got everything except the MB for a good bit less than retail and at or below what I could find quickly on the web.

I am running a 3841 from microcenter, just picked it up today. WAY better than may 3839. My 39 would not prime 4.2 8 thread at all, no matter the voltage. I am prime blend 4.2 8 thread @ 1.475v on this 41. So far so good, 70C load with HT....not too bad. I will see if I can back off the vcore after a few hours of prime.

my microcenter 3841A437 wont prime for more than 5 seconds on any voltage. i'm starting to think something else is the culprit though. my psu is obviously not powering my system enough because my pc shuts off when i try to game. time for that corsair 620hx i guess..

I have been able to Prime 95, either blend or small FFTs for what ever the stock amount of time is at the voltage above multiple times until I got LinX which seemed to drive the cores harder, definitely drove the temps higher and would crash/BSD much faster. Like you said it sounds like something else is causing your issue besides the i7.

yes, an image of a list... what the hell is the difference, might i ask? its sorted by week and batch, which is the entire point of the thread... And yes, I can revert the spreadsheet to points before the sorting, however that erases all the legit edits after... Anyways, like I said, I will not bother with this anymore, as it takes up alot of time to enter all this stuff manually.

Maybe we can get a bunch of folks and each take one week of duty, passing the sheet around via email or something? Maybe then we could post the results on gspreadsheet or something, each time copying and pasting into the sheet? I dunno, I hate to see this die.

Here we go, highest clock to lowest. If you feel you have been misrepresented let me know. Also if I missed you or anyone let me know, easily updated. If needed we can always start a new thread and have a mod move all posts to it so we can keep the top updated.
EDIT: SEE BELOW.

hey if anybody wants to add my load temps to mine here they are. They dont get any hotter over time, the GTX480 does a great job of keeping temps in check from beginning to end of a stress test.

After dl'ing the data from google a few days ago, I tried playing with it so I could see trends...it was challenging especially since I'm not all that used to excel graphs. I was trying to do a 3-d column chart that would have different voltage settings along the front and then columns with each attained speed on the y so that we could see the 'king' (highest speed at each voltage). But it didn't work.![]()
