I'm wondering if anyone is running like a 7 multi and getting beter FSB's for this chip, I am looking now to see, I figure that,
If i can figure the right combo for higher fsb then the chip MHZ will be easier. I also think i better get a few more MHZ then you because your mount will be here soon and then I bet your gonna break your current record.

I wanna get my i7 on here while it's still cold out

running 471x8.5 right now. I need to order another UD3R as gigabyte never emailed me back about RMAing this one. I want to be over with it. I want my 4 gigs of ram back. Plus, ordering another board gives me the excuse to order some other things as well

500x8 freezes. I think it's more of me pushing the Black Pis to 500mhz then the cpu not being able to manage it. I ordered some G Skill Pi 8800s, so it should be easy now. Only time will tell

Can anyone give some suggestions on settings to boost large FFT Prime stability? I am able to tune the chip to Prime small FFT stable at 1.37v but large fails almost immediately.

Actually I got it figured out. 1.31v at 8.5x500 Prime stable. This chip is turning out to be much better than I expected.

Bring it System! I feel I already have it for too long and I'm amazing nobody got there yet.

I did it on first run with all auto settings so it's time to go down

Post your SS and settings to help people around. Just saying you did this or that won't do any good for the community.

The Crucial TracerRed came in today which swapped out the old G.SKILL Powerchip that didn't want to play nice for some reason at 500FSB. Primed for a little over 2H without problems and now just tightening some timing to finalize things. Anyways, here's the BIOS setup.

Anyone got a oc-list for Yorkfields?

    Hello everyone,

I was just looking for a list with yorkfields with the oc+batchnumbers for a new build with a q9550. Cant seem to find it.

It was a great help for my E8400 build, which now runs 4.55Ghz happily (air)

    Thanks in advance

    Hiya fellas,

Got my UD3P the other day and have been fiddling with it ever since. Could I first please just ask a few questions from you guys who have it.....

    1. When priming @ 4.06GHz is it normal for the motherboard temp (using everest) to hit 68*C?

    2. Does your CPU voltage (CPUz) jump around e.g when switching between high and low loads as I see mine going from 1.344v to 1.28v and vice versa.

Now down to the usual stuff. At present I'm at 4.06Ghz for reasonable temps However I've avtually booted at 4.5GHz.. But with any indication of my mouse pointer heading towards the Prime Small FFT button my system crashes, I'm actually not too bothered about that really as I'm just being carful trying to keeping voltages as low ass I can. I am more concerned though with the fact that I can't actually get anything Prime stable above my 4.0GHz I've tried a couple of the templates that you guys have used and they do get me to Windows but that's it. Stress testing is not possible.

I'm was really hoping to get to 4.2GHz Max Stable if that was possible with my stuff, so I was wondering If anyone perhaps has a template for that OC please (preferably with safe volts all round) with F7 BIOS.

    Thanks for reading you guys

    Regards

    Orb

Hey nugzo, doing some testing with my Q9650 and UD3P, still trying to stabilize it (not asking for any help yet ) Anyways, your settings are working the best for me so far (I can at least boot up and run tests) I was just wondering, isn't CPU PLL 1.65 and MCH Core 1.6 a little high for those two? I took the cover of my NB and have a 90mm fan on it, and my CPU has low-end watercooling.

Anyone got a UD3R, Q9550 and 2x2gigs of ram successfully running? I still can nto get either of the two boards I have to run my Q9550 with two sticks of ram in it. One stick, it runs flawless all day. Two sticks, and it won't even boot to bios.

Yeah those are high. I should realy update this thread.... I will tonight. Check this thread out. Much more informative thread, even with the duals mixed in. My new settings are posted there. Links to the bios template i'm using are on page 73 as well as next post this thread. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=205132

    These are my current 24/7 settings. 4410mhz, 8gb ddr2 @ 980mhz, GTX 295 22,000 in 3dmark06 and 23,000 in Vantage.

Here are my updated settings. My original post i didnt have gtls tweaked yet. I was able to drop all voltages.. The few minutes of Prime showing isn't for stability, just to show load temps. I am 12+ hours Small and blend stable with these settings.

Anyone got a UD3R, Q9550 and 2x2gigs of ram successfully running? I still can nto get either of the two boards I have to run my Q9550 with two sticks of ram in it. One stick, it runs flawless all day. Two sticks, and it won't even boot to bios.
