Ur PLL is too high, try 1.5v.

Also ur MCH is a bit high, 1.1v to 1.2v should be enough.

Also RAM timings, 5-5-5-15 should work.
Thanks, sorry I can't see the image here at work. I have left everything on AUTO except for the MCH, DDR, and CPU Vcore. I may have been turning up the MCH because I didn't have enough Vcore. Also I had to go from 1.25V to 1.30V from 400x9 to 420x9. That seems like a huge jump in voltage for that much.

I tried 430x9 @ 1.3875 bios, 1.31 load and it stopped Orthos after about 20 minutes. I'll mess with it some more tonight.

Hey radaja have you been able to pas linpak with those settings? I'm running my 8gb of gskill and 9650 at 490fsb for 4400 mhz and cant pass linpak for longer than 2 minutes. I've passed memtest, small fft and blend for 12+ hours, 6 hours worth of OCCT but can get 2 minutes of linpak...

Ok I lowered the PLL to 1.5 and the MCH to 1.2 and it's been running Orthos for almost 4 hours. I tried to do the memory but it kept messing up. Once I get the PLL and MCH figured out I'll go for the memory. I need to run Memtest anyways to see if it is running right on this board.

Has anyone here got their RAM upto/above 1366MHz? I don't care if its stable, as long as they could validate it.

If so could you please post settings?

No matter what I try my UD3P won't do 1366MHz

Well don't leave those volts on auto for much longer, unless you want a dead CPU.

I bought new ep45-ud3p rev 1.0, flashed with f7 bios but can't load Windows Vista / XP over 430-440fsb with my q9550 c1. The system reboots before logon. I tried different straps, reference voltages and various bios templates. With my previous board (in the signature) 460 fsb is not a problem. Maybe I have to install fresh windows?

If you can't load windows at over 430 FSB, this implies you can load windinws under 430, have you installed the drivers for the board?
If you do re-install windows... my method is to always do it at stock settings.

Yes, I can load Windows under 430 and I have installed the drivers for the new p45 board.

This shot is with my previous board (9h prime95 blend @ 8.5x471):

    Right

I will post Bios settings later but I have got a Q9550 and its running, stable, 475Mhz fsb and 8.5 multi = 4.02Ghz.
I will see if I can get anymore when I can post my Bios settings up here tonight.

Please bear with me as I am doing this from memory so all temps are circa!

The only thing at the moment is at stock and idle I ran realtemp 2.9 and temps where -
    Core 0 - 40c
    Core 1 - 30c
    Core 2 - 40c
    Core 3 - 30c

I then ran prime and it reported temps on load as -
    Core 0 - 40c
    Core 1 - 30c
    Core 2 - 40c
    Core 3 - 40c

So it would seem 3 sensors are stuck! I then shut realtemp, prime still running, and re-opened it and the temps where -
    Core 0 - 50c
    Core 1 - 40c
    Core 2 - 50c
    Core 3 - 40c

Only the temps on Core 3 are fluctuating.

So I changed a few things, got fsb to 475Mhz and opened realtemp with machine idle, temps
    Core 0 - 50c
    Core 1 - 40c
    Core 2 - 50c
    Core 3 - 40c

Then ran prime and core 3 rises to 50c, no other changes. Shut down realtemp and restart it and now cores 1 & 2 are fluctuating 10c above whats above!

So, should I stick with it? Or RMA as only having 1 sensor working, that appears to be 10c on the low side, is a pain. Its a C1 with vid something like 1.2
Or, should I just assume the hotter cores are say 15c over core 3 and use that as a safe guess when checking core temps vs oc?

    Hope you understand that!

jor3lBr,thanks.thats one of the templates i tried when i first got started trying to use the 9 multiplier but wasnt having very much luck,so i used parts from it on my quest using the 8.5 multiplier. and now it seems that ive got my settings stable now(i can go 490fsb to 512fsb and stay stable).so it should be a little easier this time to use your template now that im getting the hang of this 9650.so if im stable with these settings,in theory i should be able to just change the multi to 9 and just have to adjust the vcore ,correct?thank you

Hi, i have a q6600 and ep45-ud3r. I have obtained 3.2Ghz 1.29v without touch Other voltages. I would like to put it to 3.6Ghz that would have to modify voltages?

Yes radaja, as you can see my CPU Ref and MCH Ref on that template doesn't play well with your board (and it won;t work on my rev 1.0 board either, so it's very board specific).

So I would use your settings and apply the 9 multi. Thats a great start

Anandtech just reviewed the UD3P and found out what we have already known for months. That its great! They gave it their Gold award thingie

Since they liked it so much I guess we won't hold it against them that they didn't review it in October.

Aren't Anandtech voltages a bit too high, especially compared to the ones posted here?

btw Are my voltages and temps posted here safe for 24/7 on Duo 45nm?

It ran fine and a quick prime was stable. Have turned it on and off a few times. Last used it put it into suspend (S3) I think, default, but when I started it up it went into a boot cycle!

Any ideas what I need to tweek guys?

    Cheers

Anandtech's voltage settings (at least some of those shots) remind me of when I was using the AUTO settings to try and get to 600 FSB for playing around. They also mentioned something about getting out the Peltier cooler to get to 5Ghz, so some of those higher settings may also reflect using that Coolit Freezone thing. The 5Ghz shot has a CPU voltage of 1.52v and 1.55v so I would imagine they weren't doing that on air

The gallery images show various voltages and settings and some are more like what you see here.

Your voltages look fine to me.
