Didn't somebody else also mention that their board arrived with a broken SPDIF connector and that newegg couldn't exchange it as they had none in stock?
Something fault with the SPDIF connector construction?

And I hate trying to tinker during the days I work. Get off at 11. Pass out.. sleep till I have to goto work![]()

Yeah I just notice the spdif broke during shipping most likely. Even though I dont need it, I will RMA it regardless. They are OOS right now, will they ship it as soon as the stock comes back?

Hey guys, I've been following this discussion along with any others I could find (not many) on the internet in hopes that someone else had my problem or that a fix was available. I was just granted posting access. First question is ... why has the foxconn bloodrage been a "deactivated item" with Newegg TWICE now??? You see, if they deactivate it then no one can leave any reviews. Since I had problems with my board, I think something is fishy about that.
I really wanted to keep this board and get it to work. But I sent it back to Newegg today because i'm running out of RMA time. Since the bloodrage isn't in their system at all anymore, it looks like i'll be getting my money back.
Problem #1, I have to push the "force reset" button EVERYTIME I reboot/power on. Otherwise all fans spin up and nothing shows on the debug lcd.
Problem #2, "I get a CMOS checksum error, restoring to defaults" every time I boot.
Problem #3, "AHCI BIOS not installed!!"
Solution: If I ignore the errors I got it to install Vista after I changed turbo mode from on to off in BIOS. (but still get these errors)

The G16 BIOS should fix your issues.
It looks like a PSU compatibility issue, and G16 fixed those ( not all, but most of the issues ).
And worry not, if there are issues, they're posted here on these forums.
NewEgg user reviews plainly suck, because most of the posters are even less knowledgeable than the average joe and of course pretend to be an expert![]()

hey guys, thanks for welcoming me into your fold
@BenchZowner After I installed Vista, I installed the foxconn tools and updated the BIOS to G16. I had the same problems and couldn't boot to anything until I turned off turbo again. I also tried switching from BIOS1 to BIOS2.
@Touge180SX I was really hoping it wasn't a bad board. Now I prob can't get another.
Because foxconn bloodrage is never available I might have to get the EVGA...ARRRRG!
Drop saaya a PM. He might be able to help you.
Wow, nicely done^^
Mind sharing your system configuration/settings?
Did you use stock bios for that?

Dont know whats going on here, with HT the highest BCLK i can boot is 166.
Without HT high BCLK is possible.
Bios is G13.
On my Gigabyte Extreme i could easily run 19x211 with 1,216 VCore and 1,21 VTT,also 4368MHz primestable with HT.
So far im very unlucky with this Board, any ideas?

There are reports that Vista Sleep mode is broken on Bloodrage. I can get this mobo, but won't if SM doesn't work. Would somebody take 30 seconds and go into sleep mode and see if the board resumes from SM correctly? Thanks.
a better vantage on air
Ill try for 33k later, but I need to get ready for ln2 tommorow so not alot of time left
to mess with this board on air so will have to wing it at -120c if I still haven't mastered this board

Is it Normal, that this Board needs more Vcore than the other Boards?
