I would say that the only real reason for having x38 is that some ppl have it already, and cannot afford for some reasons to change it.

next p45 is even better
but this crappy board with its 500 fsb wall seems to be one of the worst dfi mobo
not talking about issues like incompability with 3870x2
enthusiast segment heh

even if you run a p35 or p45 you gonna have the same problem
dfi boards need manual selection of gtl settings after 500fsb
the dfi x38 is a good board i bet you any $ i can take your board to 540fsb in 10 minutes
the problem is the utp35 and the ut-p45 are perfection
