Thanks for this link. I think it will be interesting to see what trends start to show up with IMC quality. They may simply go hand in hand but I wonder if some chips might end up with bad IMCs that hold back their high quality cores.
980x build underway. 2600k commencing soon.

if you have 3 mem sticks - they need to go one each into the white slots

36 is correct, also when you select your memory multi make sure you select your uncore multi to be one click above twice the memory. example - if you set memory to x6, make sure you set uncore to x13.

Ok thanks had no luck with bios f4 no matter what I did. flashed to F5G and at least already at 3.880 with turbo on. the isochronous support should be enable or disable?
also could you help with the voltage on the below settings
    QPI/VTT
    IOH voltage
    qpi pll voltage
    ICH I/O
    ICH CORE

Is it possible for a RAM to run at CL4 at 800MHz ? Yesterday, my Dominator Ram was running at CL4 (4-8-8-24 @ 800 Mhz) - as per CPU-Z and Everest both. I got worried as I didn't have memory cooler so I rebooted to check in BIOS if I accidentally set it to 4, but it was shown as 8. When I came back in Windows its was back to 8.

Can it be just a bug or was my RAM actually running at CL4.

I've settled for 3.8 as well due to stock cooling. I'm waiting for my Crossbow retention kit to get here, so I can use it with my Vendetta 2.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
