Because we can build it bigger and better. People don't care if their PC draws 10W more, so long as it performs. If you go mainstream, you will however see things getting faster and shrinking. That E7200 of yours has a tiny 107mm^2 die and more performance than any Pentium D. As for chassis and the like, all you're seeing is enthusiasts around here wanting more room. Go to an average person's home and odds are any desktops they have are mATX, and quite compact by our standards.

What will Asus say about my EeePC RMA?

They will say your warranty is void... so no RMA for you.

What music are you listening to now?

    Hijack!!

So, after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter, a good find for many recently unemployed, I lasted less than a day......

About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud, unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance. As I had been instructed, I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?'

The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why the hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?'

So I replied, 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am, I just couldn't believe you got laid twice. Have a good day, and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.'

My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work.

Oh course it will but if you try and cheat it will make it very difficult.

If the overall power is the same, I'd go for two.

Sweet Baby Ray's or Cattlemen's? (If you don't know what these are, Google it. No. Srsly. It's that important [in the Midwest]).
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

I have no idea so I'm going to go for Sweet Baby Ray's because it contains an adjective (sweet) that shows how awesome it is.

I would think that any more then 4 a night for a period of time but that is also not having it with any meals and also over what period of time. Are you drinking alone or socially.

I've never been one for night-before cramming, and I usually find a decent night's sleep is better.

For my next rig, should I go all out with i7 (i920, EX58-DS4, 6 Gb RAM, HD4850 X2 or something similar), or else go for an E8x00 (and recycle lots of parts from my current main rig) and used the saved money for a bare-bones i7 cruncher?

Something in the computer field, a soldier or a cop. Right now I'm working on a Bachelor of IT and aiming to get into data forensics, possibly with the Feds.

What got you into computers in the first place?

I would say 20-40% depending on how much I am on the phone with the customers. As I also test our own applications to make sure everything comes over.
