A-Data has published a press release:

    http://www.adata.com.tw/en/newscenter.php?news_id=342

No one single word who actually performed the WR.. seems like the overclocking scene is definitely changing. Nowadays on top it is no longer overclockers competing against each other but companies using overclockers as tools of marketing. Hopefully everyone involved get a proper reimbursement of their hard work. Not too much asked from these multi-million companies, right?

That is a really good point. Wouldn't have taken much effort to put in the name.

ASUS always does the same thing as Adata. Did you remember this? I know who made it. Why do a lot of people use companies' name on ORB? Marketing??? What's the point?

So you're saying they did not notify you at all concerning using your record for marketing purposes?

I don't care who use my record for marketing because many companies already done it before.

I wouldn't be surprised.. in their money craving minds they have to make believe that it's the hardware that has set the record, rather than the hardware and the overclocker altogether. If they were to report that x has gotten a record with their hardware, the masses would rightfully praise x and their precious hardware rather than the latter uniquely. This is the marketing world.

Congrats Andre on the jawdropping result, it's just a shame that you get so little recognition from those that should actually thank you a thousand, because you are actually helping them sell more.

    Regards

Andre, Yes I know who made it but there is a big difference. This person is Asus employee and gets a monthly salary for his work/overclocking.

What I'm trying to say is that companies need to change their attitude and give overclockers proper reimbursement/credit if they use them as tools of marketing. Giving a free motherboard for hours/days of testing is not a proper payment. Just my 2 cents.
