    And no different from 0805.

Forthcoming changes 'listed' to BIOS updates would be nice, especially in Beta form, ASUS?

    I'll stick with 0805 ATM

They don't list all changes in the chagelogs...or short definition actually. I';ve never seen a changelog on these things. There very well could be minor bug fixes in these for memory issues, voltages that aren't acting right, mem timing issues, boot issues...the list is endless. I've been keeping up with them every now and then. I've noticed that my system acts better. Please don;t ask me to quantify that. I think you guys know that you geta feel for these things by using them alot. I've just noticed that stuff acts better. It's boots smoother, I don't get the hangs on DET RAM and stuff like that. I also noticed I have been able to use a wider rtange of settings without OC fails. Just general stuff like that.

I can say that alot changed with 0805, but I'm on 0903 now and it works great too. I'm gonna load that 1001. It'll be good to get into the thousands just to say I did even if it didn;t improve anything yet. Heck it might improve and I might not realize it until I stumble onto something.

I know there are alot of issues with folks when they go over 200 BClk, qand that's where I'm headed as soon as I get my water going. The "Rocket" (my computers name) is about to blast!

Just that quick I updated that BIOS to 1001. Going to change my sig now. I'll mess with more OC'ing and tweaking when I get my water stuff here. It should be here next week.

Thanks for the head up Jas. I just checked the site lastnight and they didn't have it up there.

If I choose 1/2 or 1/4 of available memory for the test, no error comes out. What does that tell us (if anything)?

There is an issue with your memory it seems...can you Memtest86+ for 2-3 passes without errors?

It seems like this Bios changing every two weeks is keeping everyone busy. We update the bios and go through hours of extensive testing with all kinds of benchmarks only to do it all over again in a couple of weeks. But that's why i'm glad I got this motherboard. In my opinion the Motherboard is the most important component when building your system. For a long time i thought it was the CPU or RAM but it's definately the motherboard. Some nice Ram just makes things so much easier. I have my money set aside for those new Corsair GT Modules. I wish they would hurry up and come out.

As I suspected, It probably isnt a fault as such izzy, more a compatibility issue, hence those beep errors you were getting.
I know how frustrating it is I've lost count of the amount of stuff i've had to rma in the last two years.

On the bright side though, you will be up and running soon and flying on that set up!

    Yeah hopefully.

it makes me think if they used their replacement ones, i wonder if they still have the same problem though, just to get it booting up properly. Since they may have ones that have old revisions or something.

Yep, PSU. See? That's why i said that about the PSU first. It's the first thing I look at. These things require good clean and strong rails. If they fluctuate, or they droop under load, that is a "no go". You can't diagnose anything else until you get that issue resolved, becasue flaky or weak rails will cause havok with these systems.

It might have another issue too, but until you get the PSU sorted, you can't judge anything else. It's quite posible thr PSU could solve things completely.

Im using a Galaxy in my rig now, in fact mines only the 850w version, as I said before the newer revision version of these psus are just fine.

corsair psus or power and cooling ones seem to be the best around atm.

    Oh ok, Thanx

I'd just hope it wont do this type of thing again.

Sumtimes it makes me think i shuldnt do another motherboard change for a couple years now due of wat it culd of done to the powersupply or such.

But i do regret of getting the striker II and the QX9770 cpu tho i shuld of research a bit more on the upcomming cpu's and such so i wuldnt either come across of changing the motherboard for the i7 cores.
