i'm just try to do a detail comparsion between the two. ahh can't decide pulling my hair out

Although they've got one-piece blocks available for the EVGA board, and since the mosfets aren't connected via heatpipe, minimal fuss. Still, the price on those blocks is pretty heady, and makes the EVGA cost a lot more than the Foxconn board.

Bloodrage seems to be consistently in stock on NewEgg today, at least when I checked this morning at 10am (when I bought mine), when I checked at midday and just now. Price went up by $10, FYI.

Hope I got one of the newest rev with the resistor fix.

Would Mushkin 1600Mhz CL7 DDR3 work well with this board, or should I go Corsair 1866/CL8? I only plan to OC with a Cooler Master V8 or TRUE, and hold off on liquid. I figure I'll get 3x1GB for now since I plan to run XP SP3 until Windows 7 SP2 comes out. :-)

how would you be able to tell if the board has the fix?
I am also thinking of getting the Mushkin ram.

What is everyone using for ram on this board?

Check the RAM Compatibility list in the Suggestion Box in the Foxconn section of the forums here.

    Guess you mean here:

    I don't see Mushkin listed.

Anandtech did an X58 motherboard shootout (no Bloodrage) and used this RAM without problem, so that's why I'm thinking it'll be fine in the Bloodrage.

The fact that it worked on another motherboard doesn't ensure compatibility with another board.
The RAM compatibility is going to get "hammered" with plenty additions in the following days, so give it some time and you'll have your answer.
Of course you can give it a try yourself, but nobody can guarantee you that it'll work fine unless somebody tried the model you're looking at and it worked fine.

Version 1.2 is the latest board. That should be available now based on information from Foxconn on the latest distributor shipments into the US. Version 1.1 fixed a couple of major problems, 1.2 cleaned up a couple of minor ones.

The Mushkin works fine on the BloodRage, using BIOS G16 (G13 is probably better but VRef is locked on Channel 1 and causes memory clocking issues up high).

Uneducated person, and a possible fanboy ? ( didn't check the link ).

The BloodRage supports SLI, Foxconn payed for a license from nVIDIA, and of course SLI works just fine

It's sad to see, that there is some people in EVGA forums who is bashing Foxconn all the time. I wonder where is that coming from...

There is some talk about EVGA boards clocking CPU's higher than others in that forum.. No one can tell the truth, cause there must be like 2 CPU's in the world which can go as high as we have seen

It's all about the CPU at this point.. there is so much variation in Core i7 CPU's, that it must be confusing for masses.

P.S. SLI does work and why isn't this rumor never going to die, even everyone is using SLI without a problem
You are as good as your samples are!

It has to be Fanboy's. I have my 920 on Bloodrage at 4.2Ghz fully stable 24/7 on water with temps of no higher than 62C and I know I could probably get higher. I hate when other manufactures fans talk bad about other brands.

No, NewEgg must be getting about 50 boards each time, and every day 24/7 there are hundreds of people clicking F5 on their browser and placing an order as soon as it appears to be back in stock.
