did you somehow dump those setting from BIOS into a text file? If so, how?
DFI's really are the beast

DFI UT X58-T3EH8 is my first and only X58 ever used... haven't had the privilege to use other X58 boards yet. Waiting on Gigabyte X58 that has been promised since before Xmas so will wait till whatever X58 is sent my way for comparisons and tests
DFI UT X58-T3EH8 is alot of fun and glad it's gave me a good first impression of what i7/x58 platform can do![]()
If DFI can fit into their next bios what I asked for, maybe we shall see even higher memory clocks with non-elpida ic based memory (and maybe bclks).
nah used my own made bios template available at http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-lp-ut-x5...emplate-12919/ and filled in my settings used myself![]()

FYI, my i7 920 3836A756 was the very first batch that arrived in Australia and AFAIK i7 sales in general weren't selling well and was available for quite a while before I nabbed 2x i7 920 3836A756 (will test 2nd one very soon - fingers crossed it's as good if not better than this one - need 2 so can test 2x X58 boards simultaneously)
Maybe being first shipment, Intel didn't bin their first batch of i7 920s as tightly as they do now ???

First of all, great bclks.... and this is a beautiful board for clocking i7s.
We have found the first batch of i920s with lot codes of 3834 just suck, or least the ones we have currently. Neither of them will do more than 200 bclk on any X58 board regardless of VCore or VTT settings. Raja's 3836 is almost as good as your 3836s and the two 3837s I have will reach the same clock speed as Raja's lot or yours, but needs about .10V more VTT and .05V additional VCore to do it. This often puts me in a situation where VTT has to be raised within Windows via software as I usually get the dreaded C1 error at POST if VTT is above 1.475V or so, which I need considering the additional VTT required by my two chips.
I have a 3841 arriving next week, but was told to stay away from most of the 3838/3840 lots but 3835 is potentially a golden lot along with the 3836-7xx lots. Personally, I think Intel got surprised with the initial demand on the i920 and total lack of demand on the 940/965 and switched those binned chips (before being cut) over to i920s for a short period, reverted back to actual binning, and have switched over once again to control inventories. In the meantime, Raja or I will be visiting you and bringing along Guido to convince you to share your chips.![]()
impressive boards these DFIs
Gary one of the users on OCAU has the new week 41
its probably the best overclocking CPU i've seen requiring less volts at certain frequencies than other steppings
hopefully they are all like that![]()

thanks.. more to come
lol... locks away my cpus hehe
thanks Gary - maybe additional VTT is a problem with the board used ? IIRC, you're testing DFI UT X58-T3EH8 too ? so is the additional VTT needed also on DFI X58 ? You may find you'd need less VTT on DFI ?
I'm finding how much VTT is needed also depends on memory used.. maybe you're using 3x2GB which requires more than 3x1GB ??? I only have tested with 3x1GBb as have no 3x2GB on hand yet.
As dinos said, week 41 has potential from results http://i4memory.com/f55/i7-920-batch...e-share-13570/

HAHA yeah Australian summer ain't helping but if you check my cpuz validation url and time stampe converted for Brisbane time you'll notice most bench sessions done very very late when it ain't so hot hehe
thanks PC - all i need now is DDR3-2300+ capable 3x2GB kits hehe
