i like to update about the NB/MCH core voltage limitation, i just tested it right before i posted this.
this is a 1.50v MCH core, i set MCH ref. to "Normal"
after the CMOS is saved the system boots up fine in to Windows, i already try rebooting a couple time to see if it boots, it's seem okay so far to use MCH core voltage above the value you mentiond with 333 strap and 2.4B.

the rest of voltage and ref. settings in bios i just happen to picked all these values when i set the CMOS just to see if i could boot the system. this doesn't mean i can stable my Q9300 with this setting yet.
however, it seems to me that may be i will need less voltages than this since my 500x7 stable with quite less volts than this one.
