I've got a good one at just over 4GHz and below 1.3V. Long Prime95/short Intel Burn Test stable. I've only touched the CPU voltage thus far and haven't explored BIOS options, so I have lots of fiddling room. My new 620HX is making odd sounds, so I want to wait for a replacement and the retention kit for my Vendetta 2 cooler before stressing again overnight without my eye on it. Batch# 3837B073.

By the way, any consensus on the best BIOS so far? Also, what are the best voltages to touch besides CPU to get better clocks?

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

Sorry, results won't come for a while though, gotta wait for the Classified.
I'll report back to this thread once I build the system!
I've got one. After continued testing... its not that great.

Can you go into some more detail?

I have 7 days to return this chip for a full refund while its still sealed and try for another batch.

NCIX.com. Ordered it the minute it was available, but I think another member here just ordered one and it was a 3837B0xx iirc.

Got mine from NCIX (Vancouver) and it's a 3837B194 as well. Currently running it at 3800 mhz but with only 1.23 vcore. It will do 4.2 but that required 1.41 vcore along with the heat to go with it.

Added a [STABLE] flag. I don't want to get in a pissing match about what is the definition of stable, but if the chip owner says their system is stable I will flag it as so. Thanks

No good without a proper stress test.

Check the directions to your waterblock. You don't have it mounted properly. It's rotated 90 degrees from optimal. The GTZ emblem is supposed to be perpendicular to the socket lock lever.

Not to rain on your parade...but any of these overclocks without having HT enabled are useless. We had these overclocks with the 775 series. The goal SHOULD be to have stable overclocks with ALL 8 cores running. Thoughts?

I was just giving my results. I'm not using any apps that use the other 4 virtual cores. I've tried gaming with HT ON and OFF and there're no significant diffenrences in my real world of gaming .If you don't like it's up to you as long that I'm happy with mine....

3837A728 with GIG X58 Extreme, just putting the finishing touches on the board and will load the OS in the morning. So i'll have results this weekend.

For the OS should i go with Vista SP1 64bit (using on all systems) or the new Beta Windows 7 64bit?

    thanks in advance!

It's mounted on a horizontal bench, so I doubt that'll make a difference..

I know that a 10 minute run is not up to your standarts, but ambients here are near 35°C and I wont stress it with Prime for longer today.
Also, this machine have been up and crunching for 36h with this settings.

I disagree with that. Everyone's goals are different. HT does very little day to day, and should be reserved for the individuals that utilize it.
