Hi Renegade.. is this the Bios from Techpowerup? if yes he has the lock at 862Mhz This Bios file ist 010.068 an they are locked at 862 Core you need a Bios with 010.071 they unlocked.
Take the Bios from me i post here its unlocked

No i modet my own Bios file. At the moment i can run 918/1100 but the mem goes up to 1150.

I Benched the 06Mark at 934/900 it runs (CPU 3,7Ghz)
Then i benched with 934/1100 and i became the Blackscreen. (CPU 3,7Ghz)
Now i benched wit 918/1100 and it still runs now (CPU 3,7Ghz)

I hope i can crack the Blackscreen with exciter, than the 1000Mhz will fall

The Card has a Overclock protection the we must break.

    Regards

Can i flash any HD 3870 DDR3 Bios or is it important to flash one made for the same Ram vendor?
My card uses Samsung 1ns chips, but i cant find a bios for samsung.
Only found one with Qimonda DDR3...
I cannot tune my ram between 850-862. After apply, its resetting it to 850 again.
After setting 864Mhz it works but im getting a bs in 3dmark06????
So i got a hole between 850-862? Could this be 862mhz barrier?

    My Bios:

    Video BIOS Information
    Version 010.081.001.000
    Part Number 113-AA38709578.27G
    Date 2008/07/04 22:46
    Vram Type HyperMemory

Its pretty new i think, so its supposed not to have any barrier?!

    This Bios

And, on stock volts, on the stock bios, I couldnt hit 755/900 stable.
After the flash to the ASUS bios i'm hitting 775/1035, So i'm thinking I should pencil mod.
I will try the posted bios file shortly, if unsucessful, I will re-flash to the ASUS bios.

Could you possibly send me this bios file, or is it the one you posted at #937?
I'm sorry, your english is confusing me, not trying to sound offensive.
Either post here, or P.m me a d.l link.

I think it's just the stock voltage holding me back, but I will be re-hashing the ASUS bios shortly (changing upper limits), I will be letting you know the results of both bios's.

I may also change the clock frequencies from 700/900 to 750/975 in the bios bins.

    Any other ideas folks?

Ok, I just modded the bios you provided further Dodo, on stock voltage im hitting 800/1150 (maybe more on mem, im still testing) and I have re-hashed the upper limits,
VGA-bios is now set to 750/1000 for default =D

Im going to pencil, will update this post when i've done it. (I havnt been home long)

Sorry Renegade for my bad english. it´was to late tonight

I´ve seen a page before you´ve the same Bios as me. (the original)
Wichsoever ram did you have on your Card. Mine is Qimoda.
With RBE i set my Core/mem in 2D 300/900 in 3D 850/1000 and to shift the upper Limit how on Post 923.

Now i can set all the Clock´s with CCC and the Card change between 2D/3D. But i can´t go higher clocks than before.

    Regards Dodo

How are you hitting 900mhz core +?
I just penciled, and I can still only get 800/1185.
I did the shift upper limits etc.

any higher on either crashes the display driver

I do the pencil mod 1,44V and so i can run the 900+ core. (Wathercooling)
Maybe your core can get more Mhz without higher voltage.
I think it´s not normal that i can go so high clocks. I had a little luck with the Card.

You can go wth your mem to 1185 now? Wow, mine goes currently only 1125 but is stable.

    I send you an PM

1.44 is a little high isnt it?
You should break the 1050mhz barrier with 1.42 realistically.
Hard to vMod to an exact number without a hard mod.
Yeah, 1185 memory. could probably push 1200 with active cooling.
Im on the standard air cooler, just like I was with my 1103/2200 3650 =D

I will try to add some other resistors tomorrow.
I think this card has an OCP and not OVP because this case should only occur, if FB voltage is ~0,75V.
With 1,41V i measure 0,614V, so i think its ocp...

Hi all. Has made voltmod my old Palit HD3850 SUPER. To voltmod it more 780Mhz did not take, after voltmod on stock cooler took 980Mhz. Tomorrow I will make screenshots. And when will bring the water block I will try to squeeze out still a little bit Mhz

Really? Then my hd3850 must be a bummer.
My daily speed is 999mhz and I had to bump it to 1.7v. First I used 1.66v but it wasn't stable in Fallout 3, while other games ran fine.

What is average for a hd3850 to run at 1ghz core?
    >i5-3570K

Hell yes its a mini-ITX gaming rig!

Pyvoman, what is that 64pin big IC?
uP6205A FB is pin11. Measure resistance between FB and GND.
And btw, can You share that datasheet? Tnx!

Pyvoman, IC is L6713A: http://ceemic.pri.ee/hardware/datasheets/L6713A.pdf FB is pin22
If I understood Your picture right, then FB heads like that: http://ceemic.pri.ee/hardware/L6713A.JPG
Use Your DMM to confirm that.
And measure resistance between FB and GND.

I've measured resistance between FB and GND on both IC
    L6713A - 1000 Ohm
    uP6205A - 700 Ohm

    I'm sure about FB pins
You have to use DMM to confirm better soldering points...

    1.4V - 900Mhz - stable
    1.44 - 930 - stable
but it seems card has protection on 1.45V, when i reach this voltage i have blackscreen
