it always scale? did anyone test for sweetspots in temps in between?

I remember that in A64 time my CPU could do a lot more cold but it overclocked worst, i'm just saying colder isn't 100% time better.

I think SF3D had tweaked his system to get highest score in 3dmark05. Maybe the highest result will not stop at here. I want to see a new WR for AMD!

    Good luck!

Amazing job Team AMD and Team Finnland! Congrats at that insane OC experiment that you guys showcased and congrats on your 3DMark05
It was great to watch this pro overclocking assault in action - seeing / feeling the atmosphere and spirit in the AMD tent was something very special. Simon from AMD is truly embracing the OC community - thanks so much for him to lead this effort!

AMD ; Pete, Macci and with Team Finnland; Sampsa and SF3D - this events scoreboard currently shows 1:0 in your favor - but the games are just beginning! Be aware that you guys left behind way too much Ln2 behind for us and that now our boards and i7s are screaming ( literally screaming of joy as I am typing )

It is becoming clear that AMD is showing their teeth and an exciting OC year is ahead of us! x

Again congrats - can't wait for the next event!

AFAIK no Beta drivers were used - but I am sure they will put light on this very soon

Great show guys, nice that everything went great and good to see you all again

Sorry I missed out on the last night as I had to go pull hardware from a suite and it took a bit longer than I expected.

I will be planning future events, next stop might be Germany.

Let us know long before, because booking ferry or a train from UK is a pain sometimes .... Besides I need to book my holidays in advance..

PS. If by any chance you will decide to host it in UK or Poland then I can help

No beta driver used. Phenom II X4 is capable of doing 46k - 47k, maybe more with LN2 cooling (beer talks as SF3d would say ) , unfortunately we didn't have same efficiency in XS main event we had day before when we were preparing (different HDD and monitor setup). More coming for sure

I just check your GPUZ 7.14.10.0630. It's the same as (sample_vista32-64_8-561-3-081217a-73402) driver.

Check this results. What's different driver ?

    Isn't it beta?

As far as I know boblemagnifique used AMD's 8.12 Phenom II X4 beta/hotfix driver and it has same 7.14.10.0630 driver version as offical WHQL 8.12 driver. I'll re-check.

    We used Catalyst 8.11.

    Driver version 8.552.0.0
Driver status WHQL - FM Approved

No idea to use beta drivers in live event...

boblemagnifique sent me beta 8.12 driver he used. GPUZ shows 7.14.10.0630. I am not sure it's offical or beta.

A couple more pics I quickly edited before full LHe article:

First cooling F1 EE down to -190C with LN2

Then we replaced liquid nitrogen with hose from LHe tank (Pete Hardman from AMD)

    F1 EE's bottom temperature reached -242 Celsius

System up and running 3DMark05 @ 6,3 GHz. No cold bug or no cold boot at -242 C.
