Sure - lottery tickets. And football pools when I was working. It was fun.

Gambling can be very entertaining depending on your game. In most casinos, the long odds on craps are about even - depending on which rules they use. So you can play for hours and neither win nor lose very much money.

People who want the buzz tend to go for the high stakes/risk games. But there are plenty of professional gamblers who do it for a living. Only thing is that it still tends to be hard work.

Who else will get hit by the storm rolling over the NE tonight?

I'm not too impressed by the "comfort" of my new HD201s... what's a nice step up for $50 or less?

106%. My E2140 seems to have degraded. Anyways--the Senn HD201s sound good, but they're very uncomfortable unless you're like <12 years old.

    HD4830 or E5200?

I have a 16GB Nano Gen4. I've used the Touch a bit--I'm not too impressed. I prefer small size and durability.

Yes, and I'll be back when I'm done with my exams in 2 weeks.

If you drive 46-50 km/h (roughly 30 mph) too fast in a 50 km/h zone in Switzerland, you get fined at least 16,000 Swiss Francs (14,367 USD), more if you have an income. You also get sent to jail for 8 days and you get your license pulled for a very, very long time.

    Should I be worried? *whistles*

Only when I'm really mad - and then it's mostly steam and hot air - not so much smoke.

Actually I was hooked on nicotrol nasal spray for about 10 years. I'm still on the lozenges but had to give up the spray because it was getting too expensive and i had no self control. I was doing the equivalent of at least a pack a day. Damn I really loved that stuff. But I'm down to just 6 to 10 mg a day now, often much less.

Is medical marijuana good for pain. My gf has fibromyalgia and can't tolerate any opiates but Ultram, the next best thing, is PF useless.

My doctors wouldn't prescribe medical marijuana and have me on dronabinol instead. Mainly prescribed to help stimulate appetite and control nausea. It's hard for me to tell if it helps with pain because I'm on so much morphine.

How many watts is your PSU?

Is there a WCG project that could help find a cure to diabetes because my dad has it (type 1)?

In Switzerland you pay at least 10,000 CHF for going 31 km/h above the speed limit in a 50 zone. It's 1,800 CHF if you drive 30 km/h too fast though, there is one hell of a jump after that. The higher fines (10,000 CHF and above) are based on your income though, it says 20% of your income if you drive 31 km/h too fast. ( ! )

I just hope to god that there wasn't a camera around yesterday. Your 81 km/h seem like a stroll in the park compared to what I was doing.

Back on topic, I don't know the answer to the question so I'll ask it again to make sure a reply is found.

Not that I know of. I don't think there's really a cure possible--since there's a problem with one system that causes others to shut-down.

Did I just make a very stupid mistake by ranting about my life to my ex?

Not necessarily. It depends what kind of a relationship you have with your ex, With some it's ok, with others it's not. I'm going through a breakup right now so if I did what you've just done, I'd be getting on my knees to somebody who I want to forget. If you two are friends nowadays and you don't want anything from her anymore, there's no problem either. Either way, everybody has to vent things to somebody, and your ex is probably one of the people who you feel close to.

By the way, if you ever need to rant, feel free to send me a PM / add me on MSN. I happen to be good at listening to rants and ranting myself.

Is it only me that thinks that 2008 was the most intense/messed up/strange/noteworthy year until now?
