Talking Preparations for Las Vegas XS OC event

    Hi all!

Last Monday some XS legends (Macci and Sampsa) visited my place and we had full day of benching. We prepared our systems for XS OC event which will be held in Las Vegas in January 10th.

We tested 3 retail AMD Phenom II X4 chips and there is few improvements in those.

    - There is no HT3 cold bug. Now you can use -190c temperatures with HT link above 1GHz. We used ~2GHz.

    - Northbridge overclock much better now and we managed to push it up to 3.4GHz.

    Systems were:

    ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe
    DFI 790FX Dark
    Corsair DDR2 memory @ 5-5-5-18 2T
2x ATI 4870X2 VGA's (Stock voltage, stock bios and 800/950 clocks)
Thermaltake 1200W PSU (Max power use was ~850W)
Kingpin Dragon F1 EE for LN2 cooling.

Crew: Macci, Sampsa, SF3D and Linnea (my daughter)

Here is some photos of session:

    And Finally the scores!!!
I WILL POST FULL SCREENS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.. IT WILL TAKE ONLY 2 HOURS

4870X2 card were at stock voltage, stock bios and 800/950 clocks

You can adjust each core speed separately with AMD OverDriver program...

    Hail team Finland!

How much is Macci part of AMD's return to the bencher community (in the upper segment of absolute scores that is)?

Is it just a coinsidence that after he was employed by ATI/AMD that now both GPU and CPU's are kicking ass?
