i don't expert with overclock can you post the setting that i post into bios?

Hi Gullo92, Is this a new build or have you known frequencies that have worked before for CPU and memory ?.
What settings are you able to boot and run benchmarks like PI, IBT, Memtest, Prime etc as mentioned previously ? Are you stable with full AUTO settings ?. also, what cooling are you using ?.

hi rob2k and thanks for your help with auto i stable but some games there is lag i have hd 4870 and i play with hd 4870 512 mb ddr at 1680x1050 with your settings i boot and the pc is ok but while i was playing the game is locked. i need overclock but i don't expert i have try your settings with latency 8 8 8 24 2.20 V and the game go good but orthos are unstable. i have your ram( my ram haven't xpm function) 2x1 gb version. help me with overclocking stable please. my english is orrible. i'm cooling with thermal righ ultra 130 extreme with noctua nf-p12 and the north bridge is cooled for thermaltake extreme spiriti 2 the temperature are okkk. my case is antec 1200 with 6 fans. the fans run the maximus speed. for the ram i have the dominator fan and i have put it in slot white. i try out the ram in slot blue but it's unstable. when i try 8 8 8 24 2.20 V i run prime and the temperature are 75° at full load(cpu) and 57° in full of noth bridge and 59° full of south bridge the temperature are reports in everest ultimate edition my bios is 1003. prime are durings no error for 17 minuts.

@ Cheapseats - Nice work, some amazing memory bandwidth

@ Gullo92 - Back everything down to stock memory speeds 7-7-7-21 at 2.0v with 450 FSB and pick a multiplier to give more or less stock CPU speeds or leave it set to AUTO. You need to see if the 4870 is causing the stuttering or if it is your overclock. In my opinion 75 degrees when running Prime is too hot - I am 51 degrees in prime and only hit 71 when running Intel Burn Test which seems to be a very demaning benchmark. Your memory should run the same speeds as mine it has the same ICs I believe but without the Intel profiles. Try reading reviews of your CPU to see what O/C others get which should give you a going in point. You can then increase the FSB or multiplier until you reach a stable overclock. Remember that your GTL's may differ also so try AUTO or make a matrix of all the combinations with them varying a step at a time to see which work best.

Gullo92, I think it's better to know more before you seriously clock your machine...we're just trying to help. Overclocking takes time and patience. I'm just trying to up...just ask people to post their setting is usless as everyone's hardware used, compatibility with other hardware, or even with the same brand, the quality aka voltage you need to get to certain higher clocks is all a different story...

ta Rob - with your DIMMs it would be faster I think , apart from low tRAS I can't do much with timings at this sort of clock.

I saw your Dominators were running 7-6-6 at 950mhz or so, are they version 3.x on the label - Micron? There are 8 versions listed at Corsair....

hi frank - sorry for the late reply and hope you've sorted it already. My own 4x1 experience is too limited to make any useful suggestions - my max 4x1GB clock was 800mhz (1600)....CL8 No quad here either.

Also Frank, the DDRref settings that I mentioned testing, were for 2x1GB D9JNL and at 500FSB/1:2/CL8/vNB 1.60/vDIMM 1.90
(I used NBDDR +12.5 and A/B DDR +12.5).

I think ToyTen's kit is CS3222270 (D9GTR)

Also what happens above 400FSB on yours ? Is your kit memtest stable at rated 800mhz/CL7 - mine needs about 1.68V for that.

These were a good find after earlier disappointments with OCZ and G.Skill and I'm sure they would go more coupled to an E8600 as my CPU stable O/C is now at it's limit. The voltage is only slightly above 2.0v that is recommended and they have the Dominator fans attached although I have swapped out the fans for UV green ACE units.

There are some Dominators on ebay at the mo without the XMP profiles at really good prices.

Would love to try the 2x2Gb versions of these if I new they would run at the same speeds. Shame there is no 'try before you buy' option anywhere !.

I said X48, so it's chipset. It needs 1.65v for 470FSB. So, i'll keep temps much lower than 50, but will it degradate or something? I'm planning to use it for a year or something 24/7 all the time.

Are you absolutely sure it needs that much for just 470 fsb? 4GB of ram is harder on the NB but 1.65V is a lot. My RE needs 1.41V for 450 FSB and PL6. Haven't tried lower actually.
