on another note, i passed 5 runs . was happy. then u gys told me i need atleast 10 runs. so i did that and failed . was emo about it for a few days ,then again i started playing with gtls . now ive hit the spot.
i finally got 10 runs stable just by bumping gtls +5
and dont u dare say i need 15 runs !! lol
Wow yea your right that did seem to fix the problem, but like others said it doesnt want to test more then 1749 mb of memory on vista 32, and only uses 4 cores (i7 Hyper-threading throws it off).

Going to see if it works with Hyper-threading off, im assuming it probably does.

Upon further testing it does not seem to matter what folder it's in, but how much memory it wants to use in Vista 32 bit. Like you said anything over apox. 1700 mb and it errors immediatly.

Confirmed that it does in fact use near 100% cpu usage with HT off. However, as many have seen the i7's run alot cooler with HT off ~10 deg. Celc. less (my temps went about 74 max in prime, to about 65 max in IBT with Hyper threading off).

So it does seem to work with HT off but at a lower temp. Not sure how much of a difference it will be in comparison to prime 95 with HT enabled as far as stability goes, Unless your getting very high temps with HT on anyway.

So how many passes do you recommend for 8Gb or ram on vista x64?
I have been using 10, but I just saw a screenshot with 200 passes!!!!

I you like something equivalent to 24hours of prime blend

Maybe equivalent to prime95 small ffts, but not prime95 blend.

I run 15 then switch to prime95 or OCCT. This still primarily tests the CPU whereas prime95 blend/OCCT mix tests CPU and Memory/NB.

Pushes me up to 77C. 80's where I stop. Read that I should keep the distance to TJMax >20C min. At 83, you're at 17C...

wow, how do you get over 75*C results on 45nm processors, highest where i have used IBT is 71*C and that was 1.43V (windows ~1.41), And this was whit "1" torture test -> All avaible memory on 64Bit system (around 3200Mb) 10 test

Awesome program saves me from staring at 1hr prime blend to gauge stability. A quick 10 pass run and all good

    Vista x86

Is it confirmed that IntelBurnTest is broken for maximum stress (option 1) using Vista 32? Moving to a 64 bit OS is not an option for me right now so is the half stress test (Option 2) still meaningfull?

    Comments appreciated....tks.

It's only using 50% CPU on my i7 (HT enabled) - all 8 threads show activity but none are peaking out. Most of my (12GB) of RAM is being used, I selected option 1, Maximum stress, and am running 64-bit version on Vista 64. Any suggestions?

Use LinX for now until AgentGOD can fix IBT, it's the only linpack GUI I know that currently works with i7 and HT.

Well, I found a quick solution - just run it from the command line, twice..

    Hi there,

First off, whata program ! Thanks.

Been using it for a couple of months now, no waiting around for hours !
    Getting some nice results:
    http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...7/Stable-1.jpg
(Note, running prime in background to get loaded vcore.)

Now, there's just one thing im concerned with...

Idle voltage is 1.408v, load using prime small fft's or OCCT cpu test is 1.378v flat.. no more or less... But, when using IBT, my voltage is literately all over the place ! It varies from 1.378v (doesn't go below) to 1.456v ! It's never on a certain voltage for more than 5secs... Is this normal ? Could it be a problem with my PSU or my motherboards power delivery ? or isit just this insane program

Its also the same with vDIMM, idle is 2.08v, load using prime blend or memtest is 2.06v... But using this it goes up to 2.176v !!!

Anyone else having the same results ?

    Cheers,
    Oz

I run it for 15 cycles before running prime.
Keeps me from wasting a lot of time when the CPU's not stable, but it won't catch memory or NB issues unless they're pretty bad -- so you'll still need prime.

I tried running this on Vista x64 with 8GB RAM. I have no page file. When I select "Maximum Stress" the test fails in 0.125 seconds. However, if I run "Half stress" or "Custom stress level" w/ 6GB of RAM the test will proceed as normal. Any idea why I cannot run this in "Maximum Stress" mode? Is anyone else running this without a page file?

    Thanks.
