D-tek Fuzion v1 vs EK Supreme

I running my i7 920 right now on air waiting for D-tek to realease their mountkit for s1366. But now i wondering if i should get a Ek supreme block instead or wait for D-tek ?

Which is best D-tek v1 + quad nozzle or EK Supreme ??

do you know what the quad nozzle does? If you say it gives better temps on Quadcore.. ima

Hehe.. sorry im in for teaching you why that nozzle wont work... So make a guess, and i'll teach you why that nozzle is no good on an i7.

It is because you need an octi one so that it is = to the number of logic ops and not the cores!?

    is that your guess?? no...

the quad nozzle is pathed so it gives 2 pathways... works better on the bigger kentsfield dual die, and proved very bad on the yorkfield..

So if you got 1 single die, and water splitting sideways... what happens to the middle of your i7?

If your running more then the CPU on a loop configuration then I would go with the Fuzion. If it is just the CPU only in the loop then go with the Supreme. D-Tek has better flow for multiple block configurations while the restrictive Supreme is awesome for a cpu only loop. Lose the Quad nozzle!

D-Tek with the 4.5mm nozzle > all other blocks period end of story. Especially with an EK barb o-ring between top and mid plate. This of course on a single die CPU like i7.

    ...

thats the koolance block you just described scott..

But scott is correct, or so i thought, but the EK is a better block if you have good pressure and its a cpu only loop.

If only the Koolance 350 was out 2 days earlier I would have grabbed it.

But really now, is the EK that bad in multi block loops? There are a large amount of people that would disagree and spout that it's far better than the D-Tek V1

Ek uses slit injectors... uber restrictive because of the low clearance past its very fine slit fins...

Now what makes it the BIYATCH block is its SS injector.. Why? becuase NONE OF THEM ARE EVER IDENTICAL... this is why multi mounts on the supreme is mandiatory, in every orientation possible to see what your best mount is..

The reason why it does so well with high pressure is because of the design. Thin base, straight path, and good direction of flow...

Problem is you need good pressure, NOT FLOW!! people always get mixed up.

Skinnee is in the middle of doing some tests for me, but ive changed my build order to pump b4 cpu, and not rad b4 cpu. Because you get more even pressure this way to the CPU and get a better impact..

As i said this is all THEORY (only 1 test was done) and skinnee should be proving it or discrediting soon. [if he proves it, its 2 benches positive performance]

The EK, if you know how to handle the block, and believe me, not a lot of people do, it is definitely the best performing block on the i7 that i have tested..

Hmm I might try Pump > CPU > Rad also.

Just to see how it performs

heres one more to make XS cry..

Bei is currently working on a PROMOUNT system, like the d-tek fusion for the EK supreme LGA1366..

So wait for it next year when i show it off...

Whats an AMD? (I kid I kid)

I used to love AMD processors (good friend of mine works there), but ever since Intel's Conroe, AMD has only competed in the budget segment. It's something that doesn't necessarily go along with water cooling in general since to do WC well, one does not go budget. Its a shame too, as it seems that AM2/AM2+ mounts are in less demand. It took AMD years to build up confidence with the major motherboard OEMs to provide support. Now its more like an afterthought. I sure hope the Phenom II's kick some butt.

I was going to go Spider, then my cpu and mobo went boom.

Have to say my Athlon 64 AGP system is handling quite well. I've been tempted to WC it though, just a silly idea really

if you think cpu mounts is bad... wait til you look for a north bridge waterblock...

you'll see why people drop AMD when they enter water after a while...

Very difficult to find one that works...

Yup yup, I know. Even harder for mosfets. Atleast Anfi-tech make them

Sadly the wait time is far to long for me
