Noobs... theres 2 classes i feel here..

1. Good noobs.
These are the one's that did research, that come in because they cant get any additional info anywhere else...
They used the search function of this site, and knows how to use google...
These guys listen and take what others say into consideration...

2. Bad Noobs..
They dont listen
They dont do research.
They come asking for help, but its really to show off their mistake, and when we comment, they still dont listen and try to justify..

IMHO, a n00b is a user who fails to use the search button or necros a 5+ year old thread with a question that has already been answered.

I've been messing with PC's since ~'94 and watercooling since ~'97 so yeah, I'm still a n00b. Anyone that claims to be a pro is obviously a n00b because if you aren't trying and learning, you have already failed.

n00b = me before I read the stickies. Trust me, before I read the stickies I had enough info to actually be dangerous with anything I would've touched. I learned it cannot be done until you get a bsic underatanding and build from there. A new person to watercooling can make a real mess out of things and can put together some really expesnive stuff and have it not work worth a darn.

pro = ona serious note, a pro gets paid, so the only pros I know are people who have buisnesses that sell watercooling supplies and stuff. They are pros.

As far as knowing everything? It's impossible. If I ever get the big head and think I got anything all figured out, that's when I quit it until I get my head screwed back on straight again. It's the kind of thinking that when you mess with the kinds of things I mess with usually results in disaster. In some of my other hobbies, and past jobs that thinking could actually be deadly and would've got me killed.

I'm getting ready to order stuff, and you can bet I'm gonna be asking questions, and will be continuing to read here. There isn't much that isn't already covered on this forum. That's why I don't ask questions very much, but sometimes I do when I can't find stuff. This is the place to ask them.

If it were not for this place I wouldn't have near the system I have today, and I don;t even wanna think about the mess I would've made out of a watercooling setup, or god forbid the damaged or destroyed hardware that could've gotten zapped.

I love threads like this becasue they are up front and I've learend alot. I've already seen stuff here and picked up more tricks again. Every day I come to this forum I learn something new. Sometimes it might get a little rough in here, but it has it's own atmosphere. This is a place where people just tell it like it is. I like it like that. i don;t wanna hear "Yeah, that setup is perfect, if I was asking about a TT Setup" if I hear "Whoa Dude! Avoid that, it's trouble", that's exactly what I come here to hear.

Love some of the early builds. This thread does serve a good purpose if people just starting out read it. Point is ... you don't HAVE to get it perfect the first time. In fact, most of us never will get it perfect. We shun TT and some of the other pre-made stuff ... but my guess is these kits get people into water cooling who would never take the time to learn otherwise. I think we've seen a number of threads lately where folks are afraid to make a move until they get the right parts, right loop order, etc. etc. ... nothing wrong with research, but sometimes we can learn a lot by following the Nike way.

I like my first 775 setup. Bonnie Heatercore, Apogee GT and D5 pump. Man I got bashed for that setup so much! Can't beat 3.4GHz on a Q6600 with load temps under 50C. Sadly, the chip topped at 3.4 even when I hit it with 1.7+v core!
