i have a 4pin fan and i use the option in the bios under hardware monitor,

there r three options: performance, optimal and i think silent. the fan speed varies with the temp/cycle load of the cpu. im not sure about controlling the cpu fan using software, never tried it with speedfan. i have a scythe fan controller that i could use but ive been having good luck with the smart fan option in the bios.

my corsair dominators dont overclock well past ddr2 1100, suppose some OCZ reapers are in my future :-)

im using the fan that came with the mobo to cool the mosfet heatsinks now, i have a temp probe showing the NB and SB at 50C, damn i ned a fan to cool it down some.

yea i tried q fan in the past but it sucks. im really picky about my temps. i like the cpu socket temperature to never exceed 50C. what temps do you guys look at? i disregard the core temp since its always like 10C cooler than the socket temp. i hope my ocz platinum comes before xmas. last year i ordered a package on xmas and it didn't show up until january 6th because ups takes the rest of the year off. hate my dominators.

had mine @ 1200 before aswell yep no need to up the volts lol

cpu didnt like that high core clock though lol

the crucials are crazy but i couldn't find any 2x2gb sets at 1066.

guess they dont excist @ 1066 but the 800's shoud run that speed easy. but now you go back to what others were saying about phenom not suporting 1066. i dont have a problem with it at that speed. neither do others or even higher.

but there is some out there that think to stablize 1066 on a phnom you need to turn on the internal ecc in the bios cpu settings to basic mode to make it stable. i have not found this neeeded. but maybe some of you can test this that are having probs with 1066 speed. they say that the ddr-3 cache is ecc or something along those lines.

Nope they dont come out in those just 2x1GB

Skull: there are different models out there the 1065AL or 106A,,, the 106A are the newer sticks both are leds and same timing

I see the Phenom 9850 95 watts arent suppose to come out untill Nov/Dec.... But I havent seen any around.... even tho wiki says Oct.

so thats the first mobo sensor for? like in hwmonitor it would be tmpin0. many say this is the cpu temperature and thats what i have always believed but then theres the core temperature which is always a big difference. does anyone actually know where this tmpin0 sensor is located?

is there a reason why i can't set my name ram as 4-4-4-12 in the bios? i looked at the settings and the lowest i could go was 4-5-5-11. this new ocz pwns my all dominators.

If you're running 1066 MHz I'm surprised you can get CAS 4 - you shouldn't be able to.

If you're at 800 MHz then I don't know why you can't tighten them up to 4-4-4-12, that's what my XMS is running ...

im running 1066 but as got voltage pointed out earlier if you run unganged you might be able to get lower timings. so i tried it but i got in there and i can't get lower timings because theres not even a setting for it. i guess it could be because i have my oc mode set to standard in bios instead of manual which limits some ocing.

Really? The M3A79-T Dlx allows CL4 at 1066.

just set it in the bios(CL4) on this board, it was a NO GO...@1066
