lol no problem. the "4" and the "A" part of the core could be easily overlooked and I actually copied all three pics and zoomed them to help me pick out easier.

151-199mhz bclck works with out a problem, but board resets after clodboot
    200mhz bclck board cold boots.

I can live with that cause i intended anyways to go for 200mhz bclck, thought i need a bit higher QPI voltage is still only @ 1,35V + i have 12gb ram that puts addidtional streß on the mem controller.
Cold boot hole......man, I'm talking STOCK bios settings let alone any overclocking. This POS is won't boot at all after powering down even though I have now found that I don't need to strip the board down all I have to do is leave if for half an hour then it may or may not boot up again.

Also no matter how many times I mash the Ctrl-I keys it won't let me into the Intel raid utility.....omg...pos Gigabyte

RMA it and move on. Whining about it in a forum isn't going to solve your problem.

Man I feel for you, hate that kinda thing. I know this won't help any, mine worked perfectly. Never saw anything like that and I have the same ram as well. Have you tried another PSU? I know you say it all works on your P6T, maybe its a compatibility thing. Though I doubt it, more than likely its just faulty.

No unfortunately I don't have a spare psu to try. I'm just going to rma the board after the Christmas period break is over and retailers open again.

Actually....I just found my old 650w Silverstone so I'll give that a try but I have had no problems with the 1200W Toughpower with quite afew other mobo's so I'll see.

The problem is definitely CMOS related. Any of your jumpers or reset buttons jumped or switched in the reset position? Maybe one of the buttons are stuck? Maybe the CMOS battery is defective?

Other than that, it's RMA time for that badboy.

Let me guess.. you use an USB keyboard but forgot to enable USB keybaord support in bios?
Happened to me as well, most mobos have that option on enabled by default.

LOL not quite, if that was the case then hitting Del wouldn't have gotten me into the bios in the first place.

thers something called mass manufacturing, there are bad boards out there that just slip the QC.

I agree with ReverendMaynard, RMA and end of story... i dont knwo why people hang on stuff that obviouse dont works correctly, especial on electronics.

I had my share of stuff arriving DOA or not working correct. If i can't get it working the first day -> RMA kthxbye.

Yes it would. That's the irony of it.. just things after post screen and before windows don't work, like if you boot to DOS from an USB drive, or if you want to enter a raidcon menu

Of course, but you cannot guarantee every components is inter compatible. Its a massive long shot, but I've seen new PSU's, big ones 1000W. That for no apparent reason wouldn't work on certain boards. It happens. Also it wouldn't be the first time either that I've sent something back, got a new one and it does the exact same thing, all because I didn't check the bloody obvious. Had a P5k-Premium that froze with new Spinpoints, complaints got a bios fix. Like I said its extremely unlikely to be the PSU, don't hurt to check is all. And as for RMA, I can't speak for your suppliers. Where I live its a royal pita to send something back, they disappear for weeks and the postage cost sucks. So I'm inclined to check what I can, anyways like I said sounds just plain faulty to me.

Dinos don't be so harsh on the guy

After all, his mobo seems to be a faulty one.. even though the raid entering could be fixed by setting usb options right I bet

Ah Dinos knows me so know big deal and correct, enabeling usb keyboard has allowed me to enter the raid utility (embarrased) but the boards flakey bios. code 88 reboot cycle and failure to power on after powering off still remains.
So there is something amiss with this board.

This may be a stupid question but I'm using 150GB Raptors and am always getting the same message when prompted to select the drivers to install with vista 64bit, even after trying drivers of the Gigabyte cd or latest Intel drivers from there site I keep getting this message after it finds the driver and I select it - "No new device could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media".......so no windows for me.

Tried both raid and ACHI mode....same story....it's just not my day....or should i say couple of days.

BLAH, don't mind me must be the Christmas spirit. Fixed it (the raid driver issue) tried my wifes Vista 64bit sp1. cd and it's working, must of screwed up my oem vista cd by creatind an intergrated sp1 cd with Vlight..

Thanks for everyones help with the usb keyboard issue and the raid issue, feel stupid for not figuring that one out. However the other issues still remain so I'll try getting the board replaced in the new year.

    Cheers.

i have started noticing this code 88 during my LN2 benching attempt the other day

code 88 seems to be the first code that the board goes through before usual stuff

i was getting mine when i had a bad mix of volts or too low a temps

    it's in annoying
