hey duniek, the milled out recession in the hold down looks great. Im not sure the distance from the bottum of the hold down to the motherboard but this would make it shorter(may get in the way of some motherboards heatsinks), or you could save $$ and make it shorter lol and not have the recession.

    finally

    @ teyber
your mountings is like mine rev1.0 mounts (for evaps with seger rings) and holddowns is on 20mm height of muff)
rev2.0 with foam inserts like ordered by buckeye, and in my vapo ls kits has ~43mm so I must make holddowns with milled area bcoz in other way screws will be too short to mount it

Hi! I have just built a new system based around an Asus Rampage II Extreme Socket LGA1366 and an Intel Core i7 Extreme 965. Currently I am cooling the CPU with my Coolit Elite thermoelectric cooler which I had planned to use for the dual HD4870 X2s. I have a Vapochill LS and had hoped that a kit would be released by now to adapt it to the new motherboards or that I would be able to build one myself. It looks like you do beautiful work however.

Yeah the Jinu Phase is holding strong with the 965XE

Here is the RAM I got, I went the cheap route first. I think there might be better out there that others are using.

sure, possible to make that mounting (Can you post some pics or naked evap and mounting itself with dimension of it here or on PM?)
depend what do you want (only white holddown instead of crappy orignal plastic from CRYO-Z or full mounting like as my vapo ls kit)

    lmk

Is the full mounting like this Buckeye received: http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/5357/img0820sp0.jpg

If so is it easy to assemble?

I will return to you with all the measurements.

    Thanks.

Yeah mine has a Jinu Evap which is a bit different than a Chilly1, thats whay I asked. I ordered 2 extra Chilly1 enclosures, plus a Jinu one.

The Jinu Evap is ~1 inch tall
    Chilly1's are ~1.125 inch tall

This is for the inside Muff insulation. Installing these are just like installing any other Evap enclosure, very simple

That's interesting thanks for the info Buckeye, if the economy permit I will go with the complete kit.

The Cryo-Z overall performance is 100% depended on the way it's mounted. And with that crap cheap plastic bending all over the place and touching mosfet cooler etc is impossible to make it work with the UD3.

With my DFI the problem wasn't so obvious as the X48 had a big clearance to mount almost anything around the socket.

When I mounted my CRYO-Z on my EVGA 790i MB I had to cut off the extreme ends on the hold down for it to fit. The mounting supplies that came with it are pretty cheaply done, workable tho.

Dunieks kit fit very well and I didn't have to mod anything to make it work.

I used a full art eraser insulation with a layer of blue shop towels and 1 layer of foam.

Motherboard is prepped front side for a EVGA X58 SLI & 965XE.
I did use Dunieks back plate and foam on this. I found that when I was torking everything down nice and tight that the back plate was bending a lot so I losened it up a lot, didn't seem to make any differance. I would suggest a full metal back plate for furture builds.

My Jinu Phase is working very nice, topping out at about 4.8ghz for now. I need to fine tune this baby still. I would so love a nice cascade as these chips seem to like it really cold. No ice build up yet and everything is staying nice and dry so far.

Back side has a metal plate there, so it was packed to keep any air out.

    Front side finished up.

All done a Phase mounted and ready for it's first test run.

    @Buck

Neat $$$$! Thanks for the pics. Those things look soooo sturdy compared to the crappy Cryo-Z plates. I love the BIG and TALL solid bolts too.

May I ask what is that cloth material you used between the Neoprene and Eraser?

Measuares for Duniek (Cryo-Z update mount)

    Here you go Duniek:

I made some cuts to the original mount so the measures are as is.

With all the cuts I still hit the NB and mosfet areas with the mount

I need a new set that will make a solid mount and still be free of those components.

Tell me if you need more pics or more details to make my kit, please PM me with the price. Thanks!

    I'm pretty sure the Cryo-Z is a Chilly1:

    1. Hitting everything:

    2. Evap 3,1cm

    3. 9,5cm

    4. 11cm

    5. 6,4cm

    6. 6,6cm

    7. 4,1cm or 1 1/2inch diameter
