yeah we got the same mem that only booted with 2050 on R2E to boot with 2300 on BR, same settings

im looking forward to the new elpida stuff, those chips seem to clock amazingly high with low vdimm

it looks like copper but its not, it has the same properties as copper though and almost the same galvanic value as copper

no, the barbs are not removable, is that a problem?

funny you say that without anybody having mentioned a price so far
the price is going to be around 300$/300e and the board does support tri sli, but at least one of the cards needs to be watercooled so they can fit.
There are very few people who run tri sli, and those who do, will run quad sli with dual gtx295 cards anyways
Dual GTX280 cards in sli, yeah baby!

and other than tri sli optimized boards, there will actually be a free slot between both cards so they can actually breathe in some fresh air

i havent seen anybody go nuts for it yet, and theres quite a difference as on BloodRage its the default option and you can change it, while on 780 780 790 boards you are stuck with this basic heatsink and cant change it

the nb is covered by a copper base, which is connected to the cpu pwm with 2 heatpipes and to the sb with a third heatpipe. so whatever heatsink you put on the chipset, its going to cool the cpu pwm, nb AND sb

with the default config the cpu pwm heatsink actually helps to cool the nb and sb, since the cpu pwm is very efficient and doesnt produce a lot of heat. But when you watercool the nb then the waterblock will effectively cool the cpu pwm, the nb AND the sb

i always use winflash
you can also use FOXlive update, or awdflash from a usb stick or floppy

depends what you want to do... for ln2 you NEED the 965 for the high multipliers... for air and water the 920 is enough id say...

especially since BloodRage has an option for force turbo mode to always on, so you efficiently have the 21 cpu multiplier all the time on the 920

BR is 10% cheaper than R2E and almost costs the same as the P6T with way more features!

http://www.dospara.co.jp/5goods_part...&ic=90044&lf=0
damn, sold out already? sorry to hear that
they ordered way more than 5 for the first batch, so check if maybe they have boards in other braches or in their warehouse!

the problem right now is actually christmas, the eu and usa offices and many shops are on vacation until jan 5th, so nothing is moving until then

what the h3ll is wrong with you? at 300$ this is close to the cheapest x58 boards with way way less features, less pcb layers, less robust pwm, less pwm phases etc etc etc
and R2E which has about the same features is @ 400$+

i dont know what the problem of our nordic sales is, but what does it have to do with this board? im sorry if you can order this board in finland, but just check other shops that ship europe or worldwide, im sure there will be at least one shop carrying it in early january when the vacations are over

and where is the dfi 790i board?
and the gigiabyte 790i board?
and how come msi launched their 790i board only 3 months ago?

the difference is that we cancelled the project and it leaked to the public, while everybody else kept quiet about it...

i dont think thats the problem, marketing is on time, the factory is WAY WAY behind.
its just a structure thing, they arent set up to produce boards quickly, they are set up and organized to produce huge amounts of boards continuously, rather than smaller amounts of boards quickly, like what we need for QuantumForce

Touge180SX, yeah i got some pics, ill post them later

I've got a retail board here, and it wasn't in the package and there's no sign of a space for it, so it's not a mix up from Foxconn's packaging dpt.
yeah OC panel is seperate, its not bundled with BloodRage

I've had 2 different types of chips, D9JNL and Elpida, both exhibited the same pathology. I'm about ready to change it out for this board if it can clock ram better.
lets please not bash other boards/makers here

regarding memory overclocking, we hit 2500 suicide with samsung chips with 10 9 9 iirc

those numbers are from the top of the barbs, the barb walls get way thicker down in a zick zack style.

inner is always 9mm
outter diameter is 11mm at the top and then goes to 13mm, then 11mm again and 13mm again etc

and there are metal screw-rings bundled so clamping down the tubing if its slightly bigger wont be a problem

no, you can use the award winflash tool, which is what im always using

or you use awardflash, just create a bootable usb stick (i posted a guide in the foxconn tweak section here on xs, takes only 2mins) and then put the bios file, awardflash and the autoexec.bat file you get with the bios on the usb stick, boot from usb and the bios gets updated automatically... dont have to type any commands...

or you do the same with a bootable floppy, just put all 3 files on there, boot from the floppy and it updates the bios all by itself

around 50$ retail, and should be available in january

There are two worm drive clamps ( to secure the tubing on the waterblock ) and they seem to be too big for small diameter tubing.
But on the other side I measured the diameter of the fittings and they're not 1/2".

I'll ask Saaya to check it out.
im ma bit confused what all the fuzz about the barbs is? they are 1/2" , just not at the top, that way you can push the tubing over it easily. The internal diameter is slightly less than 10mm, which is more than enough to not restrict the flow, and if anybody uses bigger tubing, he can use the fittings to clamp it on the barbs anyways.

The only problem i can see if that tiny tubing wont be able to stretch enough to fit on the barbs, but that would have to be really small tubing... and we didnt think anybody would use small tubing on a high end board...
even then, you can get a step down adapter for 2$ in any DIY shop...

thats the uk price man, compare it to other uk prices and not rest of europe or even us or asia prices

dont know about the warranty, but to be honest... does it matter?
i never had a problem with a board dying or getting damaged if it ran fine for 3 years. trust me, in 4 or even more years you wouldnt want an x58 board anymore anyways even if you could still get it replaced...

sorry, its not red... its blue, not greenish blue tho. 1400 pixel blue led display and it looks very nice... i think red would look better, but it was too late to change that, oc panel was originally made for avenger but then, guess what, china delayed everything :P

any ideas? could anybody find a fix?
i googled for it and found more people who found this problem but nobody ever found a fix? but there ARE people who can run superpi stable with ati 4000 series cards, right? there must be...

damn, how much better than the normal one is it?
