I am running 6 x 2GB memory, so would that require a higher vtt?

Not sure, maybe someone else running the same can comment. I wouldn't think it would need a whole lot more juice. Maybe at higher (1600mhz?) clocks, but for now try reducing memory multi to remove that bottleneck and see what bclk / QPI / Uncore you can get
