Yeah, just wishful thinking on my part, when i take my rig outside, drop temps 20-25C, I need less vcore for a given mhz to load windows...and can go 90mhz higher for max clock....just did not know if get maybe 1 notch lower for smaller drop in C

last time I tried that Nilos, I lost my RAID arrays

This is my 24/7 setting for so far. 2 hrs prime stable is more than enough for me. I did it with Bios F4r and the following bios settings:

Now i want to push it a little further to 4.2 Ghz also with HT On but prime 95 fails in 2 minutes, even with 1.392 Vcore. I also tried some additional cooling to the north bridge but nothing helps. Can someone plz give me a tip how to achieve 4.2 24/7 stable?

haha, you know this Vcore in bios is 1.4v qpi is 1.335v and pll is 1.3v.

Mines too, after they leaked 3 times with 3 different sets of tubing + jubilee clips. The barbs are a joke!

Nahhh...nine hours of Linpack 32bit -> FREEZE
I reboot and go into BIOS-> BIOS FREEZE
This Bios F4m has been frozen twice since I installed that.
Return to F4j...

F4m was bad here as well. I had to revert back to f4j as well.

lol...I am still using F4m, but looks like main non cosmetic differences is in secondary timings of RAM, wonder if that is what is causing stability problems in some. They also changed the round trip latency. But no real reason to change to it either. My OCZ (rma'ed from dead stick, now using corsair dom) did not like RAM timings on one of the beta bioses, it was unstable until I manually changed them to another bios settings that was stable. F4j left, F4m right

Very interesting, rge, had not seen this thing. I returned to F4j not so much for stability (it could have gone up a notch to QPI and continue testing), but for those cursed frozen ...

Did you use the same "perfromance" setting, cause when you change the it from standard to turbo or extreme the subtimings change.

Yep, all settings exactly same including performance turbo on both (have always been on perf. turbo), just bios different... several beta bioses in F4 have altered mem subtimings, and different from F3 as well.

Where can i download the f4j bios for the ex-58 extreme as this seems to be the best most stable bios atm from what i've read?
