The NDA won't be lifted on the 265, or there won't be any 265 at all?

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

ROPs are bundled with the memory controller channels, so if you disable one 64-bit channel you'd have to kill 4 ROPs (per chip)

Thanks, guess we have time then before the 285 shows itself.....I'm just impatient and fear NDA lasting until CES.

Would anyone getting this be able to test performance/bottlenecking while the card (single card) is in an 8x PCI-e 2.0 slot or 16x 1.1 slot? I've got a RAID card and my P45 motherboard drops to 8x/8x with both the RAID and GPU cards used so I'd like to see what affect if any the limited speed might have. I'm either going for the 285 or 295 depending on price/performance

    Better get the 285 then.

    P45 is PCie 2.0, but 8x for a dual GPU = 4x 2.0 per chip = 8x 1.1 per chip = STILL DO NOT WANT.

    You'll see a difference, definitely.

No it won't be the first. The 8800GTS 512 was priced good when it was first released.

You may want to do that fast, I have a feeling that the 4870X2 is going to drop to about 400-450 in price.
