Why this one only needs 1X6 pin and 1X8 pin power connector when this is equivalent to 2 GTX260. Any pricing on this?

I will be picking up 2 of these when they come out, putting my 4870x2 on ebay a week before release.
I know this is the 295 thread, but does anyone know if the nda lifts tomorrow as well for the 285?
Only GTX 295, there won't be 265.

there will be no GTX 265, nvidia is using the same name, gtx 260 for the 55nm part, there will be gtx 285 and gtx 295.

Would anyone getting this be able to test performance/bottlenecking while the card (single card) is in an 8x PCI-e 2.0 slot or 16x 1.1 slot? I've got a RAID card and my P45 motherboard drops to 8x/8x with both the RAID and GPU cards used so I'd like to see what affect if any the limited speed might have. I'm either going for the 285 or 295 depending on price/performance
I will wait for the actual performance review because $499 is ok with me,
