I like that one a lot, smee. I find myself looking at the out-of-focus area for a long time trying to figure exactly what's going on. Is this a composite, or did you use something like flash-blur?

White balance might be a bit to the warmish side, but I think it works for this shot.

Parker, too warm, I think... I like the motion blur in the background though.

Goreg, great pic. IMO it could use a little more contrast.. might make it too dramatic for your tastes, but I think it looks great (sorry couldn't resist a quick test :P)

Nice picture Smee, the motion blur behind the subject makes it look mysterious.

@Goreg: I love old buildings. Nice picture.

That big piece of glass is part of the underground complex where you actually enter the Louvre...

How's this? Slightly degraded from JPEG compression since I don't have the original, but a nice improvement:

    Angle Correction
Slight warmth, mainly for the rocks
    Vibrance
    Blacks
    Clarity
    Smart Sharpen

Check out the difference in the definition of the rocks

soul, one thing I would do to improve upon that (huge improvement btw) is to put a mask on the sky and do some NR on it, or just mask off the sky from the smart sharpen. Or was that JPG compression failure?

Yeah that would be a good idea, the sky is a bit distracting being overexposed also. I didn't darken it though because it would just turn to blah.

It says "Marry Christmas" on the wrapping in Swedish (God Jul) =)
My first real attempt at a nice picture. Using a Pentax K20D that my father let me borrow from him (he's using his Nikon D90 anyways )

    Thoughts?

    Loonym...You are missed.

    The element of one

    Breathe me in
    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.
