    Exclamation Last shout out!

Guys sorry but this is the last shout out for the Group Purchase, I will close the group on this weekend and get ready to order on Monday the 22nd.

I remember that after I closed the DFI group purchase several people where caught out of the loop by a day or so. Here's the original message:

Hi guys I'm organizing a Group Purchase for the complete MIPS waterblock kits for these boards (all the series). 4 blocks for US$ 185 + very small shipping fee that will be divided by 5 or 10 ppl (US$ 5 or less).

People who are interested please post here:

I was thinking about replacing NB and SB for my recently received UD3P since I have HR-05 and HR-05 SLI already. I think I read somewhere it voids warranty on Gigabyte board if you replace it but search yields nothing about it(I might not be looking hard enough) Is this true? If true, can't I just put original back if issue arises? I mean I don't think I've seen sticker or anything that is attached to NB/SB to tell it was touched.

Also does it void warranty if I place one of those small copper heasink on PWM or any of the chips?

If you also replace the stock mosfet cooler that's connected to the NB cooler via a heatpipe then I see no problem replacing the originals in case of an issue.

Bios F3 does miracles for EP45T- UD3P, still some bugs need to be ironed out, namely 400FSB/1600Mhz no post, some weird voltages in the bios when putting in another value,...

Early testing done, windows installed and more tests to follow

    Test here : EP45T-UD3P TESTS

    Some screens :

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Hmm.. Now I test the non-beta Bios F3 F4 F5 play around with Cpu Skew ,Mch Skew after try F7a and got only stable for sometime. (test with ORTHOS)
Any one try to play with this section...

    PCI Express Clock Drive...................: 900mv
    CPU Clock Skew (ps).......................: 0Ps
    MCH Clock Skew (ps).......................: 0Ps

But right now I'm pretty sure that E8600 should adjust MCH Reference below 0.7 with this board!!!

I'm sure that for every mobo etc if u replace the cooler it voids warranty (but I have heard some video card brands don't mind). I suggest, when taking them off to take great care to make sure that the heatsink it isn't damaged. Then say ur mobo dies 4 months later, just carefully put the cooler back on before rma'ing it . Although if there is a piece of tape that u have to break in order to remove the heatsink and if u rma it, they would know and void warranty.

Please excuse this extremely newbie question. There is nothing XTreme to see here, but I have a question about this board.

I've built a Hackintosh based on this board and the Q6600. It has been running stable at 3.2 for about a week now and seems to be a solid machine.

I'm a bit confused about how to configure my optical and hard drives, though. How should I use the the GSATA2 (purple) and SATA2 (yellow) connections? I have two of the yellow going to the eSATA connector. I have my optical and one of my hard drives connected to the GSATA2 and a second hard drive on one of the yellows. I'm not particularly interested in a RAID setup. I have Mac OS X on one drive and Windows XP on another, and I'd like to install two more hard drives for storage and backup. When I have ACPI turned on (which I need for Mac OS X), Windows XP cannot see the optical, for some reason, so I end up having to switch this back and forth depending on how I boot up.

OK - again, sorry for the newbie question and especially if it is misplaced in this forum. I'm just looking for some simple set up advice.

    Thanks for your help.

Hmm anybody can give me some voltages for the mch/ppl/term etc for the ud3p if i would want to run 9x 500? on a e0 8400 I cant seem to find a good values to get it stable. I can do 8.5x 500 100% stable on burn test and 450-470 x9. but the 4.5ghz is pretty elusive. The temps are great 45c max under lin-x. Also using 2x 2gb reapers 800mhz that seem to do good at 500 5-5-5-15.

yeah i think i even went up to like 8.5x525 but it seems to hate 9x500 for some reason. So i'm doing a safe 500x9 at the moment.

In your sig you have your ram rated at 2.2v for 1066Mhz and your running at 1.8 and 2.0v? Are you running different ram then in your sig?

I have not had any luck with the PLL voltage lower then 1.57 and the CPU termination voltage lower then 1.5v when trying to hit over 4.3Ghz.

My CPU is the older C0 stepping so I don't know if that is the reason?

I have vcore at 1.35. MCH at 1.3 and most other voltages at stock. all throttling and c1/c2 states on off. memory at 2.1v 500mhz 5-5-5-15.

it seems to me my e8400's requires quite a bit of vcore to stabilize at 500x9 my cooling is not up for it, so i don't think i can get a fully stable system i mean with occt stable, prime95 and all, but may be i can get a short run of superpi32 stable, is this good enough? if so, i'll try and see if i can get a bios voltage setting for it on my system later on.

That would help me out. As i usually crash right as windows finishes booting or when i pop prime/orthos/linx. My cooling should be up to par so far i'm maxing at like 44c under linx.

I ever raise it to 2.2 and over (2.3-2.4) still got the same error
Think CPU termination may have a less effective to run orthos stable also even I up it to 1.34 I still got error. hard to understand how to adjust it.

How possible if try to adjust the voltage in ET6 and test the stable without any restart?

    Pitbull and radaja,

i'm no expert on this i just tried it myself.
i just hoping that one of these (below) would help you out in anyway, and hope you understand if none of the settings here helped you at all.
btw, please do excuse my English.

i have done several attempts to overclock an E8400 to 500x9,
    have gotten the superpi 32m to run stable on the first attempt, and then i started to adjust my voltages settings down and then lower the voltages down some more;
also tried to use a diferent memory settings.

VTT voltage values... from 1.42 down to 1.36... 1.28 and then 1.26v

CPU GTLref values... have tried using these values: 0.7150v (around 59.5% of the normal VTT voltage value 1.20v),
    then 0.730v (around 60.83%) and then at 0.760v (63.33%)

Vcore... from 1.45 and down to 1.425v (yours may need a lot less)

    Vdimm... 2.1v and 2.2v

    Memory multi 2.00B and 2.40B
    Memory timings... from 5-5-5-x at DDR2-1000, 4-4-4-10 at DDR2-1000 to 5-5-5-x at DDR2-1200.

No adjusting voltage were made within Windows (with Easytune6), all of the voltages settings were entered directly in BIOS and booted the system from them.

OK guys, just share my experience after test many time with a high clock core 2 duo(4.4xx up...)
-Once you found the error while testing and then restart you have to load the default value first to make sure every voltage have back to stock.
This time I alway clear CMOS and turn off PSU and power on it again to make everything back to basic. Because I change the Bios very often
-Then set what you desire in BIOS This will make sure your BIOS setting have a really fresh setting before you go to test again.
