    best of luck with that (500x9=4.5ghz) or (600x8=4.8ghz) lets see how much volts it's gonna take to hold it there stable

    E8400 Co

    this is my highest clock to date.

    This processor is just a couple days shy of 11months old.

    It has lived on no less than 1.5volts of V-core it's whole life.
    It will still dial up for some serious benching. Ithappily runs at it's daily clock with out fuss

    Not bad for an oldie!!!

    Thank you bro. I have done 500x9 @ 1,31Vcore. Prime95 seems to be stable, but testing with Linpack now. More pics soon.

    @WaterFlex

    You're on water or air cooling? Seems to be pretty awesome chip if it's on air. I've E86 that can do 4GHz stable with 1.22V and needs 1.48V to boot at 4.9GHz. The seller hold this chip at 4.5GHz with 1.35V stable but under water.
    Looking forward to 500x9 results

    P5Q does not need much...I think the other models need a bit more voltage than the P5Q-E and P5Q-Pro...but still very little voltage.

    I use 1.24 for 485fsb with 4x1gb dimms full. 1.26V for 515fsb

    Thanks
    Falling down after 8 seconds is a sign of a sever instability , try to stabilize 445X8 first , if unstable then try to get 430X9 stable then keep moving up , that is how things work . Test one variable at a time , but i don't think that it is Temperature or Vcroe related

    Off course if both no go , then try low FSB low Multi and high memory clock to know what is holding you back
